No - about time we left all the war resentments behind and moved on. That applies to Yasukuni alos, and Nanking, and Hiroshima etc.

For those of us in Japan, the irony is that many of theBNP's policies are what pass for mainstream in Japan (both LDP and DPJ). Anti- immigrant, racist, no or low welfare, strongly nationalist. also, it is ridiculous to say that any other party is "basically the Nazi Party". The Nazis were a party rooted in German history and culture at a specific time with policies designed to address the particular concerns and aspirations of post WW1 Germany. These fringe parties are not totally crazy and clearly do reflect the concerns of some of the voters - that's why they got seats and that is what a democracy is all about. It is not only "working" when parties that the mainstream approve of win everything.

Men in Roppongi are not totally undiscriminating. Maybe she just isn't good looking enough for your average Roppongi Barfly........ Hanging out at the baby hatch seems a much more likely option.

Amazes me that so many people on here are pro-China in the face of it still being a backward, repressive regime that totally papers over all of the cracks in China's own history (Cultural REvolution, Great Leap Forward etc).

Shoot red lights. No indicators. Hog right lanes on expressway at low speed. Stop and park in ridiculous places. scooters ride like lunatics. But lots of great scenery (Izu, Kagoshima, Ise shima, across the J alps, Biwa ko etc - all some lovely drives.). And driving plenty of other countries no picnic either. So complain away (we all love to do so) but don't paint UK as beautiful or uncrowded (roads are awful), US drivers as good (they ain't) or say anything about driving in planty of other places (Mexico, Africa, China anyone)?

PLus it's true about old animositiesd dying hard. I hate the Americans for what they did to Japan (and Korea and Vietnam). hope this movie gives vent to some of those feelings.

Often crimes like this are committed by family members. would be yuseful info to know if they had kids who stand to benefit from their death.

lot of hoo haa over a plain Jane who can sing? Fact is that the whole "Idol", "Got Talent" phenomenon is pretty frubbish anyway. Mostly set up to make saps look sappier and to end up making some pretty uninspiring "artist" famous (Will Gaylord et al who won it before).
