Why not just cut domestic spending on wasteful projects by at least 5% per year, instead of wanting to raise taxes by the same amount? Sorry...crazy idea.

So is the expectation to have guys go to the bathroom together in pairs as the ladies do? That idea alone belongs in the crapper.

I wonder how is the LDP any less bogus than the DPJ? Seeing how representational governments are made up of its local public citizens, wouldn't that be saying the public is actually bogus?

Pro's - punctual, fairly clean, pretty modern, quickly gets you across town
Con's - a little pricey if it's the main mode of transportation around the city, passenger cars can get over crowded, carrying anything larger than a laptop case is a real hassle

I'm not holding my breath. Supposedly this is to go into full mode by October 2015, and when (and if) this goes through, the burden of paying for fraudulent charges (or called, "charge backs") will be put onto the business owner - not the bank as it is currently. Expect some major push back on this, and I wouldn't be surprised that it might cause some smaller merchants to refuse to accept credit / debit cards out of fear of being stuck with a charge back that they have to eat.

On number 4, you might catch a mid-week matinee for $8 - but realistically you're looking at $10. Besides, it's the cost of the concessions that totally nukes the budget if you go to the theater. The wise ones BYOB, since there's only soda available.

Suppose August 2011 never happened. Aa3 to A1 = investment grade (upper medium grade w/low credit risk). In other words, the world won't end if and when it does happen, 'cause there's a whole lot of countries out there that's a hell of a lot riskier to place your money at than Japan.

Odd. Typically business class seats have a set of Bose noise reducing headphones at the ready for their customers. How loud does someone have to talk to bother someone on a plane - it's already a noisy environment to being with? The story reads more like another mean old drunk who has a short fuse, and took his frustration out on the wrong person.
