Good grief, you make it sound almost criminal to be in her own house. She was in her house, alone, and the 2 unwanted "visitors" decided to forcibly enter her house.
I wonder if you could be so smug about the situation if two armed thugs forced their way into your home.

The opposite is the case. This would be WAY more reprehensible as Chaney and Rove outing Valerie Plame (if you even call that "outing".)
In this case, it compromises national security and risks people`s lifes. Nothing like that was the case for Plame who only was a domestic pencil pusher.

Predictable situation. The old boy network still still holds power in Japan. He learned the same lesson as Horiemon.

Well, finally!! No more of these idiotic "re-entry permits", which have always been nothing but a ripoff. To ask for some kind of permission for an absence of more than 1 year is reasonable, and hardly a concern for most people.
I didn´t think I would see the day.

Amazing control to both hold a gun and call the police while alone and under attack... I´d like to meet that woman.

It had to Malmö. Malmö is Swedens most islamic town, with parts of the city having been practically "no go" areas for normal Swedes (including the police) for a long time. Criminal gangs rule, and native Swedes, as well as Jews, have been leaving the city for years. Gangland killings are no surprise in Malmö.

I don´t think this has anything to do with the NRA. Maybe there are countries where it is relatively safe to point a gun a police. Maybe Japan is one of them. Maybe Mexico is. You can tell us that. That the US Is not one of them is something that most everybody in the world knows, and certainly the people who live there.

Sounds like suicide by cop to me. With all the stories about school shootings that people all around the world read, how would this guy assume that the cops would think what he points at them is a pellet gun?
In Japan, that thinking could probably be excused, but in the US?

That is simply because Japan is still so much richer. As China grows, the balance will rapidly shift towards China. And with 1.5 billion Chinese consumers eventually at Japanese income levels, you have seen nothing yet.
If there are enough ressources in the world to feed that appetite at all is something we will find out.

Well, next year will be even more expensive. As the ressources dwindle, the prices goes up. Time to find the next species to eradicate.

Clearly, he was talking about about BMW bike here. A "topcase", in case you did not know is that box for luggage you attach behind the rear seat.

Not true. You can read up on Nigerian history and see that muslim violence in the North goes way back, although "Boko Haram" is a new player. But that is a case of labelling.
Also not true. If you read on on the violence in Nigeria, it is always muslim attacking non-muslims. Christians going out and attacking non-Christians is practically unheard of. Not surprising, either, because the whole concepts of violent jihad and shadism (going to paradise for killing unbelievers) is not part of christian teaching.

It is a local tradition. Every year we get the mochi deaths. I stay away from the stuff, so this is one thing I don´t need to worry about. To those who eat it: Keep a vacuum cleaner handy.

When was this article written? In other news we read now that the last refugees have been settled in permanet or temporary housing.
So either the writer is making up things out of thin air, or the article is dated.

That is a weird statement. Shouldn´t they precisely press charges for accidents resulting from items THROWN from a vehicle? However, in this case nothing was "thrown". It really sounds like a freak accident.

I was at home when it hit. It was really long and quite noticeable, but no way it was a seven. Here in central Tokyo the strength felt more like a 3 or 4.
