Exactly. He should never drive, period. Being allowed to steer a 2-ton fast moving piece of steel around other humans is a privilege, not a right.

Not much of an "arson attack" imho, just a drunk with a lighter.

The attacker is 48. I do not call that "elderly".

Again, tell that to Boko Haram in Nigeria and to the scores of violent misunderstanders of the religion of peace around the world. Considering how many of the believers read something else into the Mohammeds words then you do, you have your work cut out.
It is pretty pointless to lecture outsiders about peace while so many of your co-religionists are decidedly un-peaceful.

Same feeling here. I can not believe the attitude that some are showing here.

Its me:
I am a way better person than most humans because I do not punch out octogenerians on the street because they say something to me???
Good grief, what a view of humanity.

Wendys used to have a salad bar, and it was kind of fun watching the high-school girls maxing out the "1 plate" policy by building impressive mountains of salad by means of clever vegetable architecture. So unless Higa takes that off the menu, you can get all the vegetable you want at Wendys.

"Wrong" and "right" are opinions. Obviously, Boko Haram has a different opinion than you. And so have scores of other fundamentalist islamic organizations.
How do you want to convince them of your interpretation?

Unbelievable. I can believe the sort of company I am in here. Punching people in the face for the crime of... making a remark??
Whatever happened to the concepts of self-control?

I am flabbergasted that some commentators here actually try to excuse the perp. Murdering an old gy in front of your kid for the crime of.... making a remark?? Good grief, what a twisted perspective.

The French colonial rule and subsequent war in Algeria are well documented. But it is nowhere near the definition of "genocide", which means destruction of a whole ethnic group in a territory. To the contrary, not only where the French kicked out of Algeria... now France is massively settled by Algerians, who eventually will kick the French out of France.
How is that for a recipe for Turkey? Being kicked out of eastern Turkey by Armenians?
I hope some Western journalists have the guts to take up Erdogan on this hipocrisy.

Good and no good depends on your point of view. Boko Haram think they are doing the work of god, and Christmas is another infidel invention that their god dislikes, so that argument hardly cuts water with them.

However, if you had spent more than than one minute googling on the topic, you would have found that while Bush (just as Obama and other US governments) have bought into the slogan, it is not their invention. It simply refers to the typical argument by islamic demagogues who say that "islam" means "peace" in Arabic.
(Which is actually not true, but that is a different topic.)

They are NOT killing their own. Sunnis are killing Shiites, Shiites are killing Sunnis. And both Sunnis and Shiites are killing Christians, and of course the few remaining Jews.
In no case are they "killing their own".

Looks like they are celebrating the "end of the war" that Obama just bombastically announced.
Life in that giant US embassy with 15,000 personnel in the middle of Bagdad will be real fun. Maintaining that monstrosity will cost almost as much as continuing this so-called war.
