That is the propaganda slogan from the islamists. However, it is nonsense. If the IDF wanted to kill, they could position artillery around Gaza and flatten the place. The fact that they have taken out half of the Hamas rocket installations with so few casualties (and most of them in Hamas uniform) is astonishing in itself.

Genocide?? Israel has the strongest military in the region. In 4 days of attacking Hamas, they have ratched up about 300 dead people, most which are uniformed Hamas members. If Israel intended a "genocide" and this is the result, that leaves two possibities: a) Israeli pilots are the most incompetent idiots in the world b) There is no "genocide", in fact they take great chances in order to reduced unintend casualties.
Take your pick. And save the hyperbole.

At this point it is irrelevant if he did it or not. The cops and media have decided that he did, and he is not a position to prove to opposite. So, case closed.

We bought a car to ferry the kids to school and on trips to the beach etc., but now it has served its purpose and we won´t need it any more. Public transport is so good here, it is much better just to rent one on the occasions that you really need it. Mostly, these things are just stupid status symbols.

So, what would a "proportionate response" be in your opinion? Should Israel shoot rocket back willy-nilly into Gazah, the way Hamas has been rocketing Israel? A missile for a missile, so to say? That would be mean a couple of Isreali missiles landing somewhere in Gazah every day, day after day. Without precise aim, the way Hamas does. Would that be OK then?

Read the Hamas charter. Hamas will fight until the Zionist entity, aka Israel, is destroyed. So no, there is no way to make "peace" there, not the way we understand the word.

So, surrender once again. Of course, after such a "ceasefire", Israel can not resume the action against Hamas. So, Hamas once again wins the propaganda war, and comes out stronger in the end. I hate to say Deja Vu...

Nope, it works. It strikes fear in the heart of the enemies of islam. It is a well-proven recipe that Chairman Mao also discovered: Kill one and educate a thousand.

In case you missed it, the Taliban strictly follow islamic teachings. Fact is, the relatively secular government of Pakistan has no leg to stand on when discussing the Taliban on religious grounds. So, as long as discussion of islam is taboo, the islamic fundamentalists will continue to win.

We hear this excuse over and over again. However, it does not explain how muslims who could even find Israel on a map are "radicalized", e.g. the Iranians. You really have to keep your eyes firmly closed to blank the role of radical islam out of the picture.
For Hamas to be content, Israel must be destroyed and Shariah introduced. Nothing less will do. Read their charter, it is publicly available.

There is no "tit for tat". Israel´s government is wasting ressources and risking personnel by trying to pinpoint Hamas operatives and avoiding hitting civilians; almost impossible in such an area, and especially since Hamas loves to build their rocket factories right in the middle of residentials homes. If there was "tit for tat", Israel would just fire rockets nilly-willy into Gazah -- 8000 in this year alone. I´d like to see your analysis then.

This was so predictable. 8000 quassam rockets from Gazah into Israel, and nobody says a peep, not the international media, and most certainly not governments in islamic countries. The moment that Israel´s government has enough and responds, the sh1tstorm breaks loose, and we see daily screaming headines about Israels "attack". Where were the same writers when Quassam missiles landed in Sideroth and Ashkelon on a daily basis? Fast asleep. Talk about double standards.

Geez, where does all this hatred come from? Among all the brain-dead "talents" on Japanese TV, why do some people here single her out for criticism? In the context, she actually stood out in positive way. Weird.

Isn´t the JT headline unfair? Yes, she started with porno movies, but by the time she left the enterntainmant business, she was on the Japanese TV circuit in all sorts of wide shows etc., often as a commentator. And not the worst one of the lot, I must say.
