President Obama's budget - like last years budget - isn't a serious attempt at governing. It's a political document created with re-election in mind. His budget will likely be voted down again 97 to 0 as it was last year. Obama's goal in life is to strip every bit of individualism and personal liberty left in the American people by taking a huge percentage of their income and giving them what He believes the fruits of their labor should be. He will regulate them from birth to death. He has shown that he will kill citizens without trial, bypass the Senate with political appointments, and force Americans to buy a product just because they are alive. He will ignore the First Amendment to the Constitution because it really doesn't mean much to him.

He is spending America into oblivion and because it suits his ideology and because He just doesn't give a damn. He is easily the worst president in American history.

California has been going farther and farther off the deep end for years now. Just recently, a law was passed in the state that would fine any person $1,000 for throwing a frisbee or football on the beach. So a court has actually decided to take up this stupid lawsuit. By this logic, our dogs and cats would be considered slaves also. California is flushing itself down the toilet through huge public debt and public corruption and they come up with stupid stuff like this. Amazing!

Over half of US Catholics and majority of Protestants and other religious folks use some sort of birth control.....

This is a weak argument. Just because a lot of religious people do things that they know are wrong doesn't make it right. Need to come up with something better than that.

    @JapanGal:

Why do these religious groups want to control women's bodies? It is none of their business.. We are not slaves.

Religious groups do not control or enslave anyone. Women are free to work at a religiously affiliated institution if that is what they want to do. They are also free not to work there if they do not agree with what they stand for. That is what it is to be free. However, when the government forces people to make a choice between the law and their faith, your freedoms are eroded and you become ever more a slave of the state. This is a very good example of what conservatives have been complaining about when they say that Obama is taking away peoples freedoms.

You have to wonder when those in the military will stop shooting themselves in the foot by taking photos like these and publishing them on the Internet.

It's pretty stupid that the government is involved in marriage at all. Even allowing same sex marriage is discriminatory against other potential kinds of marriage. How about the bisexuals in the GLBT group? The government is still discriminating in a matter that he shouldn't be putting it's nose into in the first place. If you want to get "married" go to a church and get married. If you want to have a domestic partnership, see a lawyer to set up a private contract between the two (or more) parties involved. If one of the parties breaks the contract, then let the government (in the form of the judiciary) get involved to settle the dispute. There is no need for this government intervention into the private affairs of people.

The National Organization for Women used to consider relationships between a powerful men like Kennedy and a young women something close to sexual assault or even rape - until Clinton did the same thing. I wonder how her relationship with Kennedy messed up her later marriage?

the second such U.N. veto in four months, triggered a wave of international outrage, with Washington saying it was “disgusted”

So now that the international community has once again failed to do anything useful, will President Obama continue to stand by while Syrian's are slaughtered? Well of course he will - because the UN said so.

They call it 'climate change' now. I think Al Gore thinks it sounds more scary than global warming. At least leftist scientists can prove that climate change happens - you don't have to have an advanced degree in meteorology to realize that the climate has and always will change - no big scientific breakthrough there. The simplistic computer models that have focused primarily on carbon to predict global warming have been proven to be dreadful at predicting future global temperatures. Climate changes. Temperatures warm and cool. Mankind adapts. There is no reason to freak out about it. If you are living in Europe now buy a warm coat and stay indoors.

US economy creates 243,000 jobs in January. Wot's that ya sayin'?

The recession ended two and a half years ago and now with $5 trillion in deficit spending, record amounts of money printing, and years of rock bottom interest rates with no appreciable impact on the housing industry we are supposed to believe the good times are here? The overall labor pool is millions less than it was when Obama took office despite the fact that there are 30 million more people living in the country. Hey, just stop counting the unemployed because they are discouraged about finding a job and the unemployment rate will be 0% by election day!

More people on food stamps than ever, sky-high poverty rates, and under employment around 17%. I'm sayin' President Obama is the worst president in American history. Yeah, that's what I'm sayin'.

Right. Builders should have the right to put up buildings the cheapest way possible.

Here we go, whenever someone opposes oppressive regulations that means they are completely opposed to any and all regulation and that they hope people are killed and injured. Save it for your Karl Marx reading group.

Illegals must be deported or otherwise encouraged to leave the country or the rule of law is meaningless. There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of people waiting in their home countries for the opportunity to immigrate to the US legally. Those that came to the US illegally - no matter how long they have lived here - cannot be allowed to jump in the front of the line and be allowed to legally remain in the country. They must return home and wait their turn. If that is a hardship for them and their families they have no one to blame but themselves.

Obama received nothing more than he would have naturally received if he had been born a Romney or a Bush. Affirmative action does not always work, but as the author points out, when it does, it really does.

There is no way to know whether President Obama received more undeserved benefits than a rich person may have. Affirmative action is designed to be discriminatory against whites in favor of primarily blacks, other minorities, and lastly white women. The use of preference is hidden to the greatest extent possible. It is well known that college professors are mostly liberal, in favor of affirmative action, and apply a different standard to their students based on their race. President Obama will not release his college grades or his SAT scores. If they were public, a comparison could be made and a determination could could be made as to whether he deserved the benefits he received.

Accepting legacy applicants to college does not automatically infer that the person is not as academically qualified as the average student. For blacks accepted via affirmative action, it is by definition an unearned benefit. What's more, other blacks that of qualify based on their own merits will always be suspected of getting an undeserved advantage. So now we have the situation where President Obama's children will be given preference over say, a poor white man from Appalachia. It is nonsensical and in the end - immoral.

What made the last primary in South Carolina so "exciting" was the battle between Hillary Clinton and Obama. The Clinton campaign played the race card and got slapped down for it. I suspect that the Clinton's did not feel that the inexperienced and untested Obama deserved to be given preference over Hillary.
