All I can say is thank Allah he didn't throw a shoe at Saddam Hussein. He'd be dead before he could bend over to pick up the other one. Besides, what kind of man throws a shoe? What a pansy.
By the way, mass graves do not equal stability for Iraq.

I love it when one tainted politician comes down like a ton of bricks on another tainted politician. It's hillarious. If his transition is this exciting, just wait until he actually becomes president. I guess that's when the media will finally get around to vetting him.

Liberal or conservative - it doesn't matter. It doesn't look good for these guys. That said, the guys at Haditha were practically strung up by the kangaroo court of public opinion, and it turns out that they were innocent of the alleged atrocities.

That's easy - Ishida-san has the best agent in town. As for Ms. Kinoshita, I don't think she is a "singer" as stated. A quick search reveals that she is more of a bikini model - not that there's anything wrong with that...

The earth has been cooling for 10 years; we are currently experiencing global cooling, not warming. Climate, like the weather, is cyclical. The sun has much more to do with the change in temperature than anything man-made. This fact is just too simple for some people even to consider to be true. Al Gore and his friends on the left and in the MSM are using this made up crisis to scare people into giving government more authority over their lives. It's simply a scam to incrementally take peoples money and freedom to choose for themselves away from them. Global warming has nothig to do with 'science' and everything to do with 'political science' and the plans of those on the ideological left to gain power. Climate change is nothing to be afraid of; we just need to deal with it as those in our recent history did during times like the Little Ice Age. The problem now is that instead of worrying about warming, we should be worrying about cooling and preparing for that instead. Not by freaking out and saying that the end is near, but by taking rational steps that do not interfere with individual rights and choices.

I find the debate about whether the president should put people around him who agree with him or who have different opinions from his own to be interesting. Though it isn't a good idea to be surrounded by yes-men it is equally troubling to have a core group of advisors that don't share your basic core beliefs either. I feel that what Obama is doing is putting a moderate face on his administration because he intends to be a Leftist president. Nothing from his past - what little is known of it anyway - would indicate anything different. The fact of the matter is, Obama himself has indicated that he is the final arbitor in the decision-making process (hmmm... sounds like he intends to be the 'decider').
He will do his best to nationalize health care even more than it already is. And as his chief-of-staff said, he will use the economic crisis to push his agenda which is to re-distribute wealth (his words - and we know how important words are don't we!). He will increase taxes and spending as soon as he can - the economy be damned. He will fall in line with this crazy global warming stupidity and damage the economy as a result.

I am glad that Blue Man Group is able to find work in Japan - the market for their kind of entertainment just may be shrinking a bit. Why they were put together with Aki and twigboy is a mystery. Do the "talent" agencies just take whoever is available and throws them together for some event just for the sake of having a photo op?

Global warming? What a joke these guys are making of themselves. We are currently experiencing global cooling. What a bunch of enviro-maniacs.

I thought Barack Obama was against the war to overthrow Hussein's regime in Iraq? The majority of his appointments to national security positions supported the decision to go to war. Asking Gates to stay on is an endorsement of Bush's war policy. It's not the Right that is complaining, I would think that the Left wingers are the ones that will be complaining. I wonder if he lied to his Leftist base...

2.5 million jobs is much less than what is generated during a typical recovery. If he really walks on water, he should shoot for 25 million new jobs. That would be change we can believe in. Nah, let's just low-ball it.

The US remained in Japan for seven years following WWII. Given the differing circumstances this pact seems reasonable to me. The Iraqi government could have asked the US to leave, but they chose otherwise for their own purposes. They did negotiate a good bargain for themselves from my stand point. I would have liked to have seen more protections for US troops in the final agreement - we will just have to wait and see how things play out.
The most telling part of this entire article is this one:
Amnesty International is a far Left political group that actually doesn't want the Americans to return Iraqi citizens to their own government. Incredible! What is their solution to this situation then - continue the occupation? The Left is never happy. I am diffinately sure that the Left does not like that fact that Barack (censored) Obama is retaining Bush's defense secretary which is a de facto endoresment of Bush's war policy. Now that the election is over and he snookered the raving mad anti-war types to vote for him he has given his supporters the middle finger - hillarious!

Remember all of that stuff about change? Well forget about it. I guess Obama agrees with Bush's war strategy after all - why else would he keep his Secretary of Defense. Oh - expect more people that have already served in past administrations to be given jobs in the next one. Meet the new boss - same as the old boss.

Barack Obama is going to spend even more than Bush did - oh great! Republicans need to do just what the Democrats did, oppose everything that the opposite party does and blame them for everything. That was the Democrats strategy to regain power in Congress and Republicans should do the same. The one exception should be foreign affairs. Unlike the Democrats, Republicans should not try undermine their the president abroad - although I am sure they will be tempted to seek revenge for the blatant attacks against their own President over the past eight years.

Why just 2.5 million jobs? Since he is the chosen one, I'm sure that he could just as easily create 10 million new jobs? He obviously could care less about those other millions of people. Some great leader he turned out to be...
