The wife had some dross on tv this morning where for at least 45 minutes, a group of women went to various ice cream shops and ate ice cream. All of the different ice creams were oishii, and the ones made from fruit tasted fruity. They continued to be surprised at this throughout, as did the panel of pundits in the studio who were carefully monitoring the eating of ice cream and all agreed that indeed the ice cream did look oishii.

Then, as a thrilling climax, somebody came INTO the studio and gave them some ice cream !!!!!!! and guess what? It was oishii and everybody started shouting about it.

And I sat fuming silently and began another day.

ExPrinces - she's not cute. She's sexy as hell. It's a different quality and a far more desirable one. She gives me the right 'orn.

Has anybody seen that show where somebody eats something and half a dozen people watch him/her eat it to see if it's oishii and it is and everyone's astonished and then they all start shouting and then that woman says "Goo" and everyone falls about laughing?

It's effluent of the lowest degree.

I would rather go to the dentist than watch Japanese talent (good work, Misnomer-Man!) shows.

I'll tell you something - this is a woman who does not lose her appeal. She acts like a woman, not like a five-year old, and that, I suspect, is why she's been front page news for at least twelve years to my certain knowledge. Kawaii? Not one jot. Irroppoi? Not 'alf!

USN - did that, still found nothing to convince me, but assuming you're right I think it's a pretty safe bet the water in these bottles did not come from a trip down the underground reservoirs. They turned on the taps and threw good water away because an old crone told them to. This is Japanese culture - ahhhh so, desu ne.

USN: I just checked your link out, and, impressive as the architecture is, I did not see any water about. What I saw (working on the assumption that it wasn't just a bunch of CG) was a huge storm drain, designed to deliver water out of the location where it landed and towards the sea. Not a reservoir by any stretch of the imagination.

And, when you think about it, that is probably for the better. Can you imagine the disease potential of lakes of stagnant water beneath a city this size?

I suspect. like many things old ladies like to do, this is an empty ritual into which the minimum of effort but the maximum of pointless fussing was put. In short, they're pouring tap water on hot concrete.

Just what we need - more moisture in the air.

Couple of trees? No. What we really need is a bunch of old women who think they know everything.

If she'd pushed him into traffic, I'd suspect the driver who ran him over might have offered a different account of things.

This sounds like a ture loser. But to be on the safe side, some toxicology tests might not go amiss.

I have never been jealous of a mascot before i saw this pic. Those girls are cute

You think so? Green hair, top right? Blimey - you're never going to be lonely with such all-encompassing generosity.

I agree with the above poster - looks like this event was a fiasco. It's an empty hangar!

    Sarge:

Is this the illegal war that brought chaos to a geopolitically-vital area, created a breeding ground for terrorists where previously none existed, diverted men and material from the hunt for Bin Laden, torched a trillion dollars of US taxpayers' money, killed over a million Iraqi men, women and children and over four thousand US servicemen and women, reducing the US stature in the world and achieving Bin Laden's stated aim of destroying the US by destroying its economy?

    Checking...

    Yeah it is!

But of course it should. What else is the point? If any man or woman commits a crime against international law then he or she should be tried for it. If found guilty, justice should be seen to be done, and in the manner of the legal system of the culprit. So, for example, should a leader pretending to be a Texas tough guy launches an illegal war based on lies, then fire up Ol' Sparky.

Mad - It's never too late to admit you're wrong

Sarge - give it a try. Because you are. And by far the majority of world citizens agree.

We didn't create this mess, but by golly we're dealing with it.

And by golly, that is the most deluded comment I've read on here for quite some time.

I'd say that the tragedy of this story, like pretty much every story that comes out of this nightmare, is the very clear evidence that no matter how barbaric Saddam was, we - and by "we" I mean the warmongering neocons and blinkered armchair generals who closed their ears to the worldwide protests of their electorates - had neither the right nor the competence to go stomping into a sovereign country, plunder it and impose Republican Party Democracy Lite.

More than a million lie dead because of that folly, and these fifteen souls now join them.

How Bush, Blair and the rest of the Coalition of the Willing-to-Commit-War-Crimes sleep at night I will never know. But at least they got rich out of it. Why sheep like the above poster keep bleating the prescribed Doublethink really defies explanation.

As you can see, the requirements to limit carbon emissions only apply to us drones. You've got a few bob, drive one of these babies around and nobody will tell you you're being irresponsible.

Actually, the girl on the left looks a shade indifferent to the motor. Wonder what's on her mind?
