If you don't know how to use technology to teach online (paper, clay or otherwise) then either learn, improvise and do or turn off your computer right now! I've been teaching online for six years and love it! And that's the way to make money, without selling yourself cheap!

I'm wondering how he became a ''high ranking practitioner'' of Shorinji Kempo and still did this? I've been praticing Shorinji for ten years, and the very first thing I learned was that you NEVER throw the first punch and you certainly never attack someone weaker than you, unless in complete self-defense. Sounds like this guy needs to be given a few taps on the head himself!

I agree with everyone else above. This is a time to help people and especially those victims of the disaster area, who need these events to keep their mind off their surroundings and the coming months. The rest of the country, and indeed, the world, is mourning with them enough...we need to keep positive and sports and cultural events is just one way to keep this going.
Posted in: Do you think sporting, entertainment and cultural events scheduled for the next few weeks should be canceled out of respect for the victims of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami?

Could have something to do with the ridiculously high rental prices in Tokyo. For $700 a month in Yamaguchi, I have a clean and quiet neighborhood, a large house, a large garden and very low crime rate. For the same price in Shinjuku, my friend has a room that if you hold a golf club out straight and try to move in a circle, you hit every wall. WTF is up with that?!!

Yeah, to the profit tune of ¥5 billion! They didn't do anything from the heart. As I recall, they literally forced many people to take loans from them, businesses included, in order to help restructure the city. The government turned a blind eye, as usual.

Reported 11 days later? Cracked open vault? Is this just an assumption that the money was stolen? Or did it wash away? Someone would have had to have known the vault was open if they had to actually pull the door open.

Sincere condolences to the Anderson family, but if it's any consolation, this young woman probably saved the lives of her students by making sure they all got home safely with their parents. RIP Miss Anderson.
