I think if someone is using these sites, then they are actually interacting MORE with society! Blaming technology for anti-social behaviour is complete rubbish!

Because they are trying to divert the public's attention away from the real problems in this country, namely a sappy police force, corrupt politicians, missing billions from the pension funds, a dying economy and ignorance of the needs of children as well as international laws requiring cooperation from Japan. If this is the best they can do, then it truly is pathetic.

Pixilated, given that there is absolutely nothing in your statement that even rings of truth, I'm surprised your post is even still here.

I use my iPad to teach in my classes...not only do I love my work more because of it, but my students are showing an 80% increase in interest in learning English.
Doing presentations on this thing is a pleasure. Using it as an organiser is becoming a habit. In the 80's we had the Filofax...a lot of people used it, a lot of people hated it. The iPad is much like the Filofax and then some!

80 million a year to look after these pandas...bloody ludicrous! There are schools that require badly needed reforming, hospitals that need new equipment, homeless people that need homes, old people that need care. But no, this pathetic government wants to spend it on two pandas.
Posted in: What do you think of all the hype over the arrival of two pandas at Ueno Zoo? Do you think it will boost the local economy and really help Sino-Japan relations?

The guy was an idiot and obviously thinks he's something special in every respect. The employee that was punched was dumb for not knowing why he was being asked to go outside. The smart thing to do would have been to request him to leave and never return and call the keystones.

Saw this happen in Hiroshima 2 years ago too. The little one was getting off the train with his father and his foot lodged between the platform and the carriage. His shoe fell off but he wasn't injured. Still scary stuff for a 3 year old. The gap, while not a great problem for adults, can proof difficult for small toddlers. Then again, why the hell parents don't take greater care when embarking and disembarking a train with their kids here is just mind-boggling!

Perhaps it is indeed time for the true Islam to stand up and be noticed as well as depicted better in the media and movies. But as I always say - charity starts at home. So if you want things to change, take charge of those that are tarnishing the image of Islam from within Islam itself, before you start to lecture those outside of Islam on the depiction of Islam!

Blogging is old hat and like an over-soaked business idea, is not worth the time it takes to write an article anymore. I use Facebook to keep in touch with old school friends, Twitter to generate hits to my websites and LinkedIn for the occasional ad. Does it serve any purpose? To a degree, but I have to agree, that these sites are over-rated for the most part.

I voted NO because he's a piece of scum who should never be allowed to have any kind of influence on society, whether he profits or not!! He's already admitted to killing the girl and gone into grisly details of what he did, and what he did to himself since going on the run. He's a piece of crap and does not deserve the privilege of expressing any of his own thoughts.
All you bleeding hearts who said YES, obviously don't care enough about the effect his book will have on some. And unfortunately, there will be those morons out there that think he's cool.

My goodness - if people followed some of the advice here, they'd either be obese or dead in a month!!
I've been on a diet and exercise regime since 2009. As William Banting did, I cut out beer, potatoes, starchy foods like rice, and all dairy products except eggs and chicken. Calorie Mate is a good source of calorie intake, but only if you're on a good diet and not eating a lot of calories in your daily food intake. Calories are necessary for energy. I do agree with some posters here that too many calories are the reason people get fat. But that is just one reason. Your stomach and intestines do not work at the same time (see Fit for Life, H.Diamond, for info on body cycles). Hence, a lot of food is not processed and sits in your gut, eventually turning bad, and putting weight on you.
Exercise, especially aerobic exercise, is VITAL if you want to shape up and get a toner skin, physique and mental attitude that is more positive.
