Do as you like US, no one is going to stop you in the near future.

    Article begins with

North Korea has ordered its diplomats abroad to be on standby for an “important announcement” which could be about the health of its leader

to which the first poster replies

Interesting, I wonder what the announcement will be. I'd fathom it's about his health.

Thanks for that. I'll have to agree and add absolutely nothing to the article or thread.

Trying to defend the indefensible is ludicrous

I don't think he's doing that, just correctly pointing out that it's not quite 30 percent of the workforce living in net cafes.

The net cafes should be monitored by police to see if vunrable , and people at risk need help

Yeah I can see that happening - 1) cops intruding on business premises and 2) cops intruding on the privacy of cubicles. Plus I think they're already busy making sure old people bother to confirm it's not their long-lost grandson who has had another car accident.

Up to 30% of Japan's workforce are homeless net-cafe refugees.

Well I don't know where you got that from but I will say that this story is a good metaphor for a Japan that is going down the toilet.

These cosplayers are just everywhere aren't they. Just goes to show you what a complete non-event the rest of Japanese popular culture is.

Nice train. Looks like it's a bit too fast for the guy barfing in back though. Oh maybe he's just grown extremely sick of this cosplay fad which keeps doing the rounds cos no one has any other ideas.

...how nice that two South Koreans won this competition

Just think how happy the Japanese would be if you came to Japan and applied for this competition and won it.

"While he was at a meeting at the Waldorf-Astoria at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Michelle Obama called room service and ordered lobster hors d'oeuvres, two whole steamed lobsters, Iranian caviar and champagne, a tipster told Page Six."

Why that's more expensive and potentially damaging to health than an ongoing war of liberation in Iraq isn't it?

They can have their lobsters and I'll toast them to less death on a global scale and paranoia in your backard.
