Olmert wants to give the Golan away in exchange for empty promises. Of course, a huge benefit for him would be that that distracts from his personal scandals. Israel is suffering through its very own version of a Clinton period.

So they try to legislate the oil companies into making oil cheaper. And then they turn around and want to legislate CO2 output.
Honestly, this is so ludicrious one could not make it up.

It is just so pathetic to see another Western politician crawl on his knees in front of the Saudi Wahabis, begging for more oil.
We know that the Western world is addicted to oil. We know that Saudi has most of it. We also know that Petrodollars from Saudi are financing the world-wide islamic jihad against us.
And we also know that only Western intelligence and technology, based on the free thought of enlightenment, freed from the suffacting shackles of islamic doctrine, would allow us to find alternative energy sources.
And instead of calling for a Manhattan-project style emergence program to get AWAY from the dependence of the medieval Arab Jihadists, Bush is kissing their behinds, asking to please increas oil output.
This is so sick, I want to throw up.
Alas, from next year we can see Obama or Hillary do the same act.

Bushes brownnosing the Saudis is disgraceful. And trying to bribe North Korea into abandoning their nuke program was a blunder, but remember that was Clinton`s original strategy, and a long-standing demand from the Democrats. Bush simply obliged, and see what we got.
Regardless, appeasing Ahmedinejad like Obama has suggested takes it to a different dimension altogether.

The islamist government in Karthoum is murdering the non-muslim minorities in the South. Nothing new there, par for the course for islamist governments all over the world.

What is the old saying... "talk quietly and carry a big stick"?
Olmert has reversed that. His motto seems to be: Make bombastic, meaningless threats, and carry a tiny little wiener.

Bush simply made a factual statement --- that appeasers are naive and dangerous. Obama found decided that shoe fits him and put it on. That is all there is to it.

Obama talks about "naive"?? This from the guy who declared that he wants to withdraw all troops from Iraq but move them right back in after Al Quaida sets up shop there again, in other words immediately --- creating the most massive and wasteful military operation in history?? The guy who wants to to "talk" to Ahmedinejad without precondition, and in the next sentence declares he wants to bomb Northern Pakistan unilaterally? This guy calls others "naive"? That is truly mind-boggling.

The religion of peace in Pakistan. But of course... the media keeps telling us that we must pretend that islam has nothing to do with suicide bombings.

It is just so typical that Association of Muslim Scholars immediately finds all the energy in the world to complain about an alleged Koran desecration. Wouldn´t it be interesting to see them get equally excited about any of the murders carried out by Sunni jihadists on a daily basis. But don`t hold your breath for that.

This is so ridiculous. He lectures the Saudi government about freedom and womens rights, as if that was of any relevance in the Shariah state; and then coming from a worthless Kuffar like GWB. What counts in Saudi is the will of god, and god says very clearly in the Koran that women not equal and the only freedom that counts is the "freedom" to be a slave of god. And the Koran is the constitution in Saudi Arabia. What a foolish performance by Bush.

Obama should explain what exactly he wants to talk with Ahmedinejad with. The speed of the dismantling of the "stinking corpse" of Israel? The timetable for the conversion of the USA into an islamic republic, as demanded by Ahmedinejad in his open letter to Bush? The timetable for the next conference that denies the holocaust?
If Obama thinks that by simply "talking" he could change the firm conviction of a 12er Shiite activist like Ahmedineja is delusional.
Another interesting aspect is that as a born muslim, Obama would be considered an apostate in Iran. And Iran has just recently reinstated the death penalty for apostacy, according to Shariah law, apostecy being the worst crime imaginable. Just the man for a friendly talk with Ahmedinejad, for sure.

That depends on the definition of "won". If he means major combat, that has been "won" years ago. If he means a democratic, unified, stable Iraq, he is delusional.
