Of course they won't comment as it didn't happen in japan. Thinks like that simply don't happen outside Japan so they get ignored.
I find it despicable and from what I heard the Hospital had previous problems too. Guess they will get anther slap on the wrist.
Just a few people fired and nothing changed I guess.
Posters here are up in arms about a woman getting raped in a train-toilet out of view but when someone dies right next to others = all silence.

I agree don't think that they are all that well paid, compared to other pro-athletes.
Also they retire earlier than other pro-athletes.

Apparently they were in the apartment of a female friend of theirs and started to fight over debts.
So my guess is that she called the cops and ambulance.
Also many stab-wounds can lead to death very quickly if major blood-vessels, etc are severed.
Statistics show that stab-wounds are more often more lethal than gun-shot wounds.

Biofuels, etc all nice. But how about the lubricants, plastics, etc that also come from oil. Gas/fuel is a small percentage of what the oil is actually used for.
His project sounds nice but is it scale-able to work in a real(not resort) environment.

I am from a country that has compulsory service and I think it is a good thing.
For once I agree with skip. Also many join for 2~3yrs to get additional training and experience prior to entering the work-force.
Granted our service is only 8 month and very little change of us going to war but the experience helps a lot, IMHO.

Pity, I sounds like a nice place.
Looks like it had few good points: "Dead center of the town" and " Everybody is dying to get there". ;)
But I agree with you about the points you made.

Not sure about "teaching english", my profession is in IT and has been for 25yrs.
Maybe the scene/environment is different. But I met one or two guys like you are talking about, said that I had probs with the similar guys overseas.

Said that you might as well blame the person that reported the grafitti to the conductor and thus caused it being pulled out of service.

I agree with your post to a certain degree.
Myself having worked for 12yrs for japanese companies(1 of X foreigners out of 900+employees) we never got pigeon-holed. On the contrary many managers treated us favourably.
Said that I wanted to kill some of my japanese superiors for their english knowledge/usage and thinking they were good. Some of their stunts nearly cost us a big deals.
In the end many details were worked out between me and our overseas contacts even though I was not management/decision maker.
Don't even get me started on japanese co-workers asking me to write english e-mails for them(even though they scored 800+ on Toeic).
Just different experiences.

Did you read what I said. The MOTIVES are the same just different degrees. It is all about being recognised and leaving your mark.
Nice try.

Northlondon.
Why because it has NOT become the norm here yet as it has become overseas. Don't apply your overseas standards to Japan.

Rio.
Some grafitti artists have become renowned artists, but there is still a time and place for it.
Painting anything without permission is a CRIME. I know lots of towns have hired grafitti artists to improve certain sites and also offer "grafitti spots" that can be used.
