Akuma where do you get your facts.

Kato was arrested 2 minutes after he crashed his truck by an uniformed and assisted by an off-duty cop. Never mind that he also stabbed another cop that tried to help a guy that he drove the truck into.

Akihabara on weekends is full of cops on patrol, can't take 2 steps without seeing one.

Guess you never been to japan.

Every person has its own fragrance/smell(pheromones,etc).

But I hate the western ladies over here which I can smell from 3 metres away. Not saying don't use deodorant but many overdo it.

They also sub-title a LOT of japanese talents.

Dubbing/subbing is the norm in NON-english speaking countries.

Personally I started to hate western deodorants after living on a few continents.

They simply over-power any smell with their own fragrance and it STINKS. Hate to say it but if I see a western lady wearing stuff I move away.

Not saying I like the smell of sweat but I prefer honest sweat smell over the chemical one.

NK was part of the "Enemy Picture" same as the jews were during the 1930~1940's and the Muslims(Brown people/George Carlin reference) are now.

Common theme across the ages, if you don't have an "Enemy Picture" you can't push your own policies/agendas. It is an established tool across and been used many times.

Most countries/people across the world are aware of it and see through the smoke-screens put up by their goverments.

Said that "enemy picture" can be used for ANY purpose from terrorism through to whaling issues.

    Yeah, he is sick.

Yet, there is a LOT of teenage prostitution out there. When you look at the under-belly of society you see some sick stuff.

Having worked with the Guardian and Cyber-Angels I saw a lot. So shows like "To catch a Predator", etc aren't even surprising anymore.

And to say that a child/teen DON'T know what is going is on is FALSE. Heck, I have been solicited by 12 and 13yr olds for sex. YES, they approached me.

LOL, remember my sex-ed in school some 30yrs ago, we made the teacher blush as we corrected her on a few points and we were what 13 & 14.

    Just my view.

I will miss it as much as reading about how the face of elvis appeared on a slice of shashimi in some hicksville village.

    Agree with kwaabish.

There are lots of people working shifts or late like restaurant owners, restaurant staff, Taxi drivers, Cops, construction workers, etc.

Society has become active pretty much 24/7 these days.

I think the idea of shortening hours is a bad idea for a few reasons:

1.) The energy savings will be less than expected. 2.) The Combini owners and operators will need to restructure their business completely costing them money and possible income. 3.)1/3 of the staff employed at the combini's will become unemployed and possible more as there will be fewer drivers, workers at factories, etc needed.
4.) Many of the combini's double as safety and refugee points in case of disasters and crimes. 5.) Forcing them to be open 7~23 will hurt a lot of workers that start early or finish late.

I know some were covered above.

Just don't think it is a good idea, otoh, replacing the lights with more environment friendly and energy savings alternatives sounds like a good idea. Maybe switch of some of the outside lights and only leave the logo illuminated.

Japanese confinement is pretty harsh, can't even talk/chat without permission, shower once every 3 days, etc. Not been there can only talk about confinement back home as I spoke to a few guys that did their time.

If a guy is locked he has been removed from society not so?

    Tricky to pull off right.

Generally against it and agree that once it gets serious one person should leave the work-place. That is if it is NOT a family run-business.

"Eye for an Eye" is a concept that got thrown out milenia ago as impractical. Caused too many problems and wars.

And WHO decides if someone deserves the DP? A Jury of random selected people with NO legal and/or medical training.

Or a few posters who feel better because they feel better after posting their blood-lust online.

What surprises me how many of the people that claim to be pro-DP are supposedly christians(religion of peace and forgiveness).

Not sure about all the different prison systems in the world, but back home "Murder 1" will get you 20yrs of hard confinement and the need to work 8hrs a day to produce goods for the general public. Of course multiple, consecutive sentences are possible.

Guys that been found mentally unstable are in hospital wars

Money earned from their labour goes towards off-setting the cost of housing/training/counseling them.

Hard confiment = NO TV, newspaper, etc so they guys come out 20yrs later and know little about the outside world.

Now THAT is scary trying to survive in a world you know little about, IMO.
