Most TV worldwide sucks, except for a few good shows. Why, because the programming is for the local audiences who want to switch their minds off.
Seimei.
Very bad Joke and in very bad taste. You are lucky if you had done that with a client present the deal would have flopped.
BTW, I wouldn't recommend you to go back to that restaurant.

I am aware of those facts.
Look at the previous Tokyo Olympic, etc facilities they are dated and ready to be torn down. Yet, they will get rid of Harajuku-koen for the new facilities in case they win or NOT.
Never mind that Tsukiji-Market will be replaced by a high-tech communication centre which has no use/need beyond the olympics.
Tokyo is ready to destroy tourist attractions for an Olympic they might not even win.
IMO, Ishihara and his Olympic plans will cause more than do good.

IMHO, Beijing will be another money losing Olympics, seen it too much recently where the host-city takes a loss.
IMHO, if Rio gets it will be another one, same for tokyo.
Times have changed and hosting an Olympic event(paying for the facilities, etc) just don't pay off in the long run.
yeah, 30, maybe even 20 years you could raw the crowds, not anymore when a flight to seoul is close to flight to Tokyo.
I see the future as co-hosted events where people can visit 2+ countries. Trains, etc are fast now what is the time between Waterloo-station(london) and Paris now?

Actually quiet a few unions in japan.
Like the one for salaried employees, etc. But most are fairly small and thus wield little power. Most people don't know about them though.
Wasn't there a Union for english teachers(Nova, etc) too.

I agree with the 30 days limit, 30 days = 1 month. We are talking here temp-staff not day-laborers. I think the distinction got lost in the translation again.
In short what the goverment is trying to prevent is using agencies from claiming day-laborers as temp-staff. Very different tax and employment brackets for the agencies. Send a guy of on a 30 day contract = big bucks not matter if he only was 17 days on site.
Also very different for unemployment/tax benefits.
Yeah, some will get hurt and some will benefit by the new ruling.

WWF, AI, etc are all agenda driven and thus not objective and true sources.

GW.
Link don't work "Reported as deleted". Never mind that I asked for scientific proof NOT a link to a source like WWF, etc.
Still want proof that japan eats 80+% of the worlds tuna, so far non forth coming, which I find a hard claim as a non-japanese. Heck, I ate more tuna growing up in europe than while living in Japan.

Not really, just won't the guys to prove me wrong that over-fishing of Tuna(Blue-fin too), etc don't happen in european, australian, etc waters. And how the over-fishing is linked to japan, in short a direct link to japan.
Something more than Blue-fin tuna is highly priced in Japan.
In short there are few points here: nobody outside japan does overfishing, japan consumes 80+% of the worlds tuna consumption, etc. So far I got zilch proof.

As for over-fishing it is known worldwide and is a major problem in european waters. Plenty of articles out there.
But of course articles like this are all lies and fables: http://www.ens-newswire.com/ens/mar2008/2008-03-20-01.asp

Farhaan,
Empty your inbox because you will get flooded with posts of programs that don't include those.
They are usually reserved for a certain time-slot and a few channels. I posted quiet a few programs that don't fall into your category and I got more.

Hikikomori.
Show me proof/links/scientific proof as to japanese eating tuna daily. Your post was rubbish.
Moderator: There is no need to say to another reader "Your post is rubbish." That is being ill-mannered. This is a forum for mature adults to exchange views and good manners apply in cyberspace, too.

Not sure if we live in the same Japan.
Most of my friends consider tuna too expensive and only buy it on special occasions.
That is for sushi, not talking pre-packed "Tuna Cream" pasta sauces, etc.

So yes, the fisheries catch for demand and ignore legal limits. I see that as capitalism. Don't you.
So you say Japan consumes 80~85% of the worlds tuna I want to see proof of that. Japan consumes 80~85% rest of the world which outnumber it by a factor of X only 15~20%. Frack, I must be eating tuna daily.
Yet, if I put you on the spot you would fight hard to say that the USA (a mere 350 mill) contributes a major portion of the worlds pollution.

My point being is that 125mill people eat less tuna, etc than a few billion people out there.

I read you but you don't read me. You think that all the sushi/tuna worldwide consumed comes via Japan?
Same with the Tuna, etc tins your wife opens for your supper.

Been a Rider for 36yrs myself now. Had my spills but the skins protected me. Also lost too many buddies.
I know a different version to the saying above "There are 2 types of riders those that came off and those that still will".
Myself like to have a god 1~2mm of cow-hide between me and the tarmac, yeah I wear full leathers, full-face and expect same/similar for my pillions.
Said that I prefer choppers(japanese) and touring bikes, used to like the speed(had a 750 chopper that got clocked at 210km/h) when I was young but the bones can't take the pose anymore and had a few close calls. Biking is dangerous and if you get over-confident, etc you WILL get killed.
Seen it too often bike has an accident and the pillion buys it, nothing to do with the rider but the pillion is at a way higher risk.
Now add a Rider that thinks he can ride/control his over-powered crotch-rocket wearing shorts/t-shirt and sandals and guess what?
As for trying to outrun the cops = madness, with a passenger on the back = you will kill the passenger.
I had the good and bad passengers on my Bike> The good ones you don't feel the bad ones you tell to get off after the first corner and walk home. Not kidding you a bad passenger will get your rear-wheel to go the wrong way in a corner and cause a crash.

Just gets to me when people don't fess up.
The complain about one country reducing all resources yet they happily consume/catch the same resource. Example: Australia makes a fair buck catching tuna, etc for the japanese market but it will never be mentioned during anti-whaling talks.
Yet, the will fight tooth and nail saying their country is NOT the biggest polluter. Do I see a double standard?
For them all it boils down to is percentage points as long as someone got a higher percentage they are free to do as they want.
My point being countries are now tied economically and all the politics/treaties/etc are just as much fluff.
If the US wiped out Russia they would loose a majority of their wheat exports that go to Russia, etc. You just got to see beyond the political Fluff to the real economic movers. And most political posturing becomes laughable.
Rant over. (And it was NOT aimed towards the USA as I know the rabid US defenders here).
