Ever heard the rule of excessive force? If a guy "attacks" you with a knife or bare-hands and you shoot him that is excessive force in most countries as your response(gun) was beyond the thread-level.
Same way with superior weapons.
One thing that opened my eyes I used to walk past a few homeless just after I started working in S.Africa.
Often gave them a bit of my lunch-box(sandwiches), etc.
One day(just before X-mas) one of the guys approached me and asked if I can spare…
Of course the US is looking after their own side and if they make a few bobs in the process it is a bonus.
Said that I foresee another Cold-war coming up and with the current US troops in Iraq/Afghanistan/possible Iran I don't think that they can afford to play…
I also worked with muslims in S.Africa during the Gulf War 1 and they slapped their children silly for wanting to fight the "infidel" US troops and partake in the Jihad.
Not saying that at all. What I am saying is that the europeans got a better understanding of them than the US.
I grew up with jews and muslims and also met them on my travels across the globe and they are a far cry from what the US…
And if you think that the big guys do the work at the meetings you are way mistaken.
They are there to pass around the cucumber sandwiches and pose for photos, planting trees, etc while the real work been done prior to the event and by their underlings.

Nobody said or hinted that the accommodation was assigned by nationality or other criteria.
And I think I am safe in saying that the higher up you are up the totem pole…

I know all about PLO, etc as they blew up plenty of Israeli businesses in vienna.
Same way I seen plenty of people been blown up by the military wing of the ANC (Mandela was in charge of them). Had a few close calls myself.
