Cool! Plain clothes police on trains are a great idea to stop groping. I can't wait until one of these officers gets groped... And I mean that because I want to see the guy being made an example of.

Haha! I have never read a single Spa article that even remotely sounds credible. Anyone that lives in Tokyo and has an ounce of common sense would just disregard this stuff.

Sony's advertising has always irritated me. I never liked their ads overseas either. That must be why I don't own a single sony product.

They were actually making people wait in line, with the door roped off, with just a sprinkling of customers allowed inside at one time. This was in order to make it look busy. Pretty lame. When I walked past about 7pm tonight there was a line of about 100 people looking slightly irritated at being made to wait, while other customers were browsing around inside.

I think there's a good chance the kid opened the door. I was driving a car down the freeway once in Japan, and the 4 year old (not mine, thankfully) in the back decided to spontaneously unlock and open the door! It was a rental car, and the child lock on that particular door was broken. He also unbuckled his own safety belt and start walking around in the back at various other times, just not at the same time he opened the door. Oh, he also obtained a box of matches from somewhere, proceeded to light one, burn his entire hand and almost set the car's interior alight. He spent the next 30 minutes screaming while I tried to find a medical center. Some Japanese parents are unbelievably slack when it comes to ANY kind of safety, especially for their own kids. Such a dilemma - should natural selection prevail?

Gross! They're about as far from my type as it gets. Imagine taking Paris Hilton and the Kano sisters, mixing them together, and multiplying them by 3.

Crumble! Along with every other mismanaged money guzzling Japanese company in existence. Unfortunately it's going to be another 20 years before all the dim-witted gyoza eating oyajis running these companies are retired. The problem is, I see a new generation of mid-30s couldn't-run-a-teddy-bears-picnic Japanese managers beginning to take their places. Oshimai da ne. Nippon teikoku.

Well I'm a New Zealander, and while I like my country of birth, I've always had the impression that as a tourist destination, it wasn't always up to people's expectations. 1100 extra tourists in a year doesn't sound like a lot. I think NZ's niche tourism products have been equaled or bettered by many other countries, and there are now many, many other countries offering different appeal.

By the time people are over about 30, it's not a big deal in my opinion. However when a male is significantly younger than the female, it's an evolutionary anomaly. That is to say, it doesn't put your offspring in the best competitive position.

As far as I know, it is really not unusual to have sexless marriages in Japan. My Japanese male co-workers complain about it too, along with plenty of foreigners I know. And I would agree with Osakadaz, it's largely caused by the Japanese wife.

They make me laugh. There's a big market for "quick fixes" for health in Japan. If someone is tired or feeling run down, they need good food and sleep. I have to say the marketing is clever, if your target is gullible Japanese consumers: Put them in small brown glass bottles, with names and labeling similar to pharmaceuticals, sell them at drug stores, and you have a winner. Any energy boost you get is from sugar and caffine, which is not good for a fatigued body by any means. Stoopid.

The guy is probably so detached from reality that he believed these 11 year old girls would actually be able to come up with the money. To the point where they started crying? Man... Sad, sad loser.

If I was Hatoyama, I'd be making damn sure she didn't go anywhere near a camera or reporter for the next several years. It's going to be a matter of days before this is the laughing stock of the western world.
