Saudi Arabia enforces strict Islamic law and occasionally doles out punishments based on the ancient legal code of an eye-for-an-eye. However, King Abdullah has been trying to clamp down on extremist ideology, including unauthorized clerics issuing odd religious decrees.

Doesn't look like they can control the clerics. < :-)

The republicans love this one. They love pushing the Obama is a Muslim thing. Rush hardly talked about anything but this. He's not the only one. Only republicans are running with this. < :-)

BP is trying to close the whole thing now and move on. There has been a 22 mile oil plume that has just been found. Jindal has vetoed a bill that would require the state to hang onto all BP related information. They have hired most of the college professors who have intimate knowledge of oil well drilling and facts about what has happened and they are threatening their employees to keep their mouths shut.

Sound just like republicans in action to me. < :-)

Sarge, Why are gays so threatening to your marriage? Do gays threaten your masculinity, do they make you feel uneasy being with a woman, huh? You and other posters here on JT whine and cry about how gay marriage threatening the institution of marriage. Explain how? < :-)

Well the republicans are working this one up. It's their only way of doing business. They are depressing. But I'm not surprised.

This is no different then george bush being the Son of Satan. < :-)

In my opinion, which is worth about the same amount that your does, is that homosexual tendencies are normal for some and abnormal for others. A gay man wouldn't expect you to be gay or comfortable with it, no different then should a homosexual feel comfortable living as a heterosexual. It's a natural instinct and you either accept it or you can fight the tendency. Some win, some fail.

People are born with instincts, no different then animals are. Because some one like yourself wants to turn it into a sin, that is on you. Just because it's wrong to you doesn't make it wrong. < :-)

We've heard this before in other disasters. People feeling desperate or a gang trying to take it all.

If we lived in Utopia this wouldn't happen. Then we wouldn't have these disasters. < :-)

I can see that we're going to have some really disappointed people when it's decided that gays have the right to marry. They have been so comforted for years because they have resisted the rights that should have been given to gays decades ago. < :-)

There was a lot of rights that have to be defined. The rights of men, women, blacks, whites, handicapped, etc to receive equal rights. There was never a right for women to vote till it was defined and legislated then amended. There should not need to be a defined right that allows gays to marry, but it'll be done. < :-)

Madverts why is this below the belt?

"It will be hard to resist the urge of rubbing that in some people's faces!"

I see that people have been keeping gays from getting married for a long time because "they" don't think it's right. But why should gays be stopped from marrying because a bunch of zealots believe differently. These zealots rule the country, huh? I hope it slaps them real hard. < :-)

That's a bit depressing, but it'll become legal in just a few months unless it's referred to the SCOTUS, then it'll become law of the land. WOW!! < :-)

    Sarge,

Yes, it would have been vastly better to continue to let Iraq fester under Saddam Hussein, LOL.

They would be better off now if we had never invaded Iraq. Millions who have died, 2 million refuges, the whole infrastructure destroyed, a $Trillion wasted and 1000s of US military uselessly killed. Homes, neighborhoods, cities, lives... foreign and domestic killed.

10 years after we get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and there will still be horrendous terrorism inside these countries. 10 years after we leave Afghanistan and you'll see the exact same country you saw 15 years ago. < :-)

I didn't see Ronald Reagan securing the border, I saw him sign amnesty. I didn't see george bush securing the borders other then cameras and other surveillance equipment and tried to sign amnesty. But this is Obama's fault.

Good, let the Tea Party jump up and down. The immigrants will just come into the country 2 miles on down the border.

Until the US secures the borders this will continue. But both parties want to blame the other. It's both parties fault. But the amnesty signers just want to whine it's the Liberal's fault. Fix the border, period and shut the hell up. < :-)

The Iraqi War will go down as a great decision only in the minds of Sarge, george bush and dick cheney. This was a massive waste of money and lives. < :-)

Bring our troops home. We should never have gone to war with Iraq.

Bring out troops home. This was a war put together by liars and back stabbers. This war was started exclusively to fill tankers with oil for george bush and dick cheney.

Bring the troops home. We have lost too many young men and women due to the dreams of a 5 time draft dodger and a Air National Guard dropout. It was for personal interest and personal greed.

This war needs to end and all our troops brought home. <:-)
