And the chinese government still hasn't gotten it into their thick skulls that you CAN'T CONTROL…
It seems no thread is complete without NetNinja's overly long, pointless, insane State of the Union…

Elvensilvan, Did not know that. Great info! But, still....that was a powerful EQ and Tsunami.

Sounds like Egypt took a lessen from Nazi Germany. Wasn't there an uproar about the gassing of Jews? But it's alright to gas Palestinians? Talk about two faced. If Egypt was aware that they were there, why not arrest them? < :-)

We need to close off the border first. It's relatively easy to enforce it if you want to. But all this stalling on building a proper border deterrent to stop so many people illegally entering the US.
And this legalizing their illegal entry seems totally like Ronald Reagan. < :-)

Speculators is what ran gasoline prices prices up over $4.00 a gallon, remember? They'd take the dimes off their mother's eyes, laying in the coffin, given the chance.
Wrongdoing, yeah I think so. < :-)

This is great for the November elections. It's one thing to block health care, but to block financial regulations is just slapping their republican constituents.
I don't want them pushing any legislation aside for some quick immigration bill either. < :-)

Of course they deny any wrongdoing. You think they were going to say they were guilty of all things that the senate alleged. These guys are sh***y, just like the products they were peddling. < :-)

Why freeze building, you're only waiting for a chance to announce the start of rebuilding at an opportunity like, when talks resume.
Do what you want Israel. US close the door on Israel and say good-bye. < :-)

Until they built a border fence that stops these folks, it isn't going to stop. But Arizona has their right and now law to attempt to rid their state of illegal aliens.
Everybody whines about the Liberal Democrats wanting to give amnesty, etc. The last time I saw amnesty given to illegals was the GOP god, Ronald Reagan. < :-)

I think Obama and company needs to not do anything right now. Watch and see what happens in Arizona, but until they either ask for help or there are some real problems, leave it up to Arizona to deal with this. < :-)

Arizona may have slapped a hornet's nest. This is going to cost the state millions to enforce. < :-)

You're correct there, but you can't keep from being invested in some manner on Wall Street, unless you're a hermit, maybe. < :-)

It makes no difference what you do or how you invest, you're still invested in Wall Street.
Public Utilities are traded. Mortgages are traded. and many other parts of our normal day are traded on Wall Street.
That's why we have to regulate their actions. < :-)

Oh no, we don't need stiffer regulations on the market. The Free Market system is doing just fine. < :-)

I remember old movies where a bad guy could have a full face reconstruction to evade being captured, because they looked different. That was great picture. In 50 years it could be possible. < :-)

Molenir, here's the bill. I read it.
http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/49leg/2r/bills/sb1070s.pdf
Where does it say that citizens can't call in their neighbors for being in the country illegally? And since Arizona is going to take a stiffer stand against illegals, you'll have people who can't get jobs calling in employers who use illegals vice American employees. You'll have spiteful calls also.
It calls for up to 6 months in jail plus fine. Arizona's going to run out of jail space.
This bill will cost millions to enforce and it'll take more resources then the state of Arizona has in it's treasury. < :-)

Molenir, I think you're incorrect. I think I'm correct about the actions of the people. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
But this will help to break the Arizona state budget. < :-)

This whole scandle has just opened up. Wait for the numbers start adding up. It won't be as few as you suspect. I don't have a number, but the US Catholic Church did a lot of it. I'm sure the rest of the world was just as active as the Catholic Church in America. My opinion. < :-)
