yabits, good post.
The 1929 market crash took in excess of 10 years to dig out of, however we expect the turn-around overnight in the internet age.
Corporations are holding $$millions$$ in savings from their downsizing and sending jobs overseas. They are waiting as long as they can, hopefully till there is a change in president and congress, and they will invest in new jobs then. That way they can give all credit to republicans and all discredit to the democrats. < :-)

Why is there no effort from the US to urge Israel to sign the non-proliferation agreement? I've watched for decades how we attack, either verbally or with war machines, to stop nuclear efforts by "some" countries and little effort to get Israel just to admit possession. < :-)

The US couldn't stay in Iraq until someday when all terrorists, insurgents and any other upset individuals finally lay down their guns and become all peace loving Iraqis. At some point the US military had to start leaving and coming home and making Iraq take control of their own protection.
Not only was it time to start leaving Iraq, it was time to start a test to see if Iraq can handle their own protection. As long as we had 130K in Iraq, there's no test of their capabilities. Take most of the US support out and they can be tested. We still have 50K to give back up if needed, but Iraq has to come up to the plate and do their own job of protecting themselves.
Every nation has to do their own policing. Iraq has to do their own, also. < :-)

Please, Israel isn't going to admit they have nukes. It'll take more than the IAEA to get their admittance they have nukes. < :-)

I had some fine times along the East Coast. These hurricanes really can blow through. Then there is the great fishing a few days before. The storm pushes fish up and inshore.
Take cover Marines at Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point, NC. < :-)

So because we haven't seen peace, yet, we should just not try? Since Nixon, every president has tried to help get peace in the Middleeast. Can you imagine if we'd never tried? There would probably be more bloodshed and what kind of a world power would we be? < :-)

Netanyahu and Abbas have said they won't allow terrorist activity to stop this effort. I hope that they continue and try for some kind of accord. I continue to pray for peace. < :-)

Molenir, I'm glad you like the rally and the article. It's wonderful.
Now I didn't a chance to listen to Beck yesterday or today, but this new respect that Beck feels in his heart, will it be a new Beck we listen to or the same old one that calls Obama a racist. Yeah I know, he amended his thinking. So he's not a racist anymore, Beck's got a new name I'm sure. < :-)

Beck is an entertainer and that's as far as it goes. I hope he enjoyed his song and dance. Like an old time revival under the tent.
They'll hoot and holler, then as soon as they leave the tent, they are democrat haters.
But it was a nice day for a White Religious Rally. < :-)

STOP THE FIGHTING PALESTINE.
I've been hoping on these peace talks ever since they were announced. Yes I know there are radicals out there, but they have allow the peace talks to happen.
This is frustrating to all parties. < :-)

I have and will again Sarge.
People like yourself are only happy when we're at war. While the rest of the country wanes away and pays the cost.
Attacking Afghanistan was in retaliation for the attack on 9/11. It was to punish them for their attacking us, not nation building. But almost 10 years later, we're trying to finish this war, however the republicans are happy as a lark to stay in Afghanistan. Another 100 years is at all possible. < :-)

I remember bush's reasons for going into Iraq, and you bought every reason bush mention hook, line and sinker. Every lie.
Sure it was, but we didn't need to wait 100 years. John McCain was liked bush's plan also. He was hoping on another 100 more years of occupation in Iraq.
No matter what Obama had said, you republicans would be complaining. You want to support the republican war machine over ending the war.
It's so wonderful the way 'most' of you posters are real good about complaining but have never served a single day of service for your country. < :-)

There was no way to have the speech without mentioning bush. Obama was very gracious in his reference to him.
Now let's get the rest of them out.
Now let's start getting out of Afghanistan. < :-)
