  The guttersniping begins: Americans are accused of taking over Haiti's airport and refusing entry to French and Brazilian planes. Chinese are accused of hogging the limelight with photo-ops.

  Hope this isn't going to turn into a battleground for the US and China teams.

  Actually, they were one of the first teams to arrive. But they get bashed for that anyways.

  Only "North America" is willing to get in and do the dirty work. Other nations are now looking for excuse to get "turned away" >

  Your news source is very American-centric. I've checked different world media reports showing photos of rescue workers from Central America, China, Taiwan, and various European nations on the premise doing dirty work.

  Why would planes fly all the way from Brazil just 'looking for an excuse' to get turned away?

  The positives: Governments of the world putting aside differences by responding quickly in sending relief teams to work amidst an apocalyptic scenario.

  suffering of the people in Nanjing pales into insignificance when compared to the Chinese after the end of WW II hostilities where tens of millions of Chinese were killed, butchered and actually eaten by other Chinese. And factual movies based on acts by the winning side could very well be made which are at least equally horrifying.

  and this pain and suffering could've been exaggerated by those opposed to the winning side. I'll probably get censored by the moderator, but some people show more kneejerk sympathy toward the victims of the Commies than to the victims of the Japanese.
