I see my parents, both in their mid 70's and realize how although they may not be madly in love like they might have been 53 yrs ago, they take care of each other. Over the last 20 yrs, mom had cancer, father had 5 heart attacks.. both survived thanks to the help of each other. They watch over each other.. so I guess that is a benefit we only know when our health fails. I never been married but always been strong and healthy.. one day when laying in bed sick as hell, I will regret it. Until then, I will do what I want, whenever I want and keep an eye open for a conservative girl with family values.... and then she will be able to quit her job and live a good life with this millionaire. aw

People at may work say "whatever" It seems to be a sign of insecurity because they say it after you tell them something they didn't know but need to know. Rather than say thanks.. and accept the fact that they aren't as smart as their ego makes them believe, they lock in that knowledge and walk off saying "whatever"... trying to insinuate that it wasn't important.. aw

China is not a threat to Japan! North Korea is a joke and Russia has its own problems. The American bases are the problem not the "cure".

You're right YuriOtani, the US has app 900 military installations overseas, not including embassies and consulates. Russia and China have none (0).... It cost the US over 260 billion a year to maintain these bases. The US got spoiled by the Omoiyari Yosan sympathy budget and still thinks Japan is rich.. but it isn't and doesn't like supporting the US foreign policy in a non cold war period. aw

Exactly why the DPJ needs to impliment the draft, teach some history and patriotism (not fanaticism) and decrease the US military presence.. It is like a little child, a little girl in fact that lives in a fantasy land because daddy is providing and protecting.. aw

I bet them that disapprove of his handling of the Okinawa issue aren't from Okinawa. .. unless it is Okinawans that wanted him to tell the US that the decision is made.. the base must be moved off the Island.. aw

When it comes down to it, what Hatoyama says is what counts.. everything else from the "peanut gallery" is just throwning out "feelers" and I think it is on purpose so the US responds.. aw

It is as if Americans get soo upset at this base issue. Almost like, "if you don't accept all the bases, then you don't accept me" aw

Yeah, the propoganda photo's in the US media always seem to show the North Korean men malnourished without clothes and with ribs visible, like the holocost concentration camps.. I guess I was brainwashed by those images. I am glad when a poor nation wins at a sporting event, gives them confidence and something to be proud of.. As far as Japan.. it is good for them to watch as their metrosexual men continue to loose at national sports that they once dominated and invented. Japan needs a draft and put all men through basic military training and weight lifting, they look sick.. must be the pacafist mentality..the same mentality the LDP promoted for decades so they could control the population. Unfortunately when a nation weakens it's men for control purposes, when times of emergency come along once each 50 yrs, they have no men with the spirit to defend.. Kodokan judo and Kyokushin karate don't fit into this mentality though, quite the opposite they foster strength.. this guy just happen to lose.. aw

I really don't think this topic is politically correct to comment on.. please remove this "race baiting" thread.. I am totally uncomfortable at this attempt to interject race.. it is a human failing, not black.. aw
