Seems all the posts except one are what they call "avoidance" in psycology. Avoiding the fact that he caved into the US on the base relocation issue, making the Japanese feel shame that they were still an occupied country. It wasn't the economy or anything else, it was him caving in to the United States and not getting a meeting with the US president, making the Japanese feel the partenership with the US wasn't equal. He shamed the Japanese people, and the US had the power to force that to happen.

Kudo's to President Carter, however they should have left him in jail for a year to teach him a lesson.

The US treated him like they treated Kim Jong Il...he then caved into the US's demands to do what they want with Okinawa, the Japanese paniced and he lost support among the public and other members of the diet.

It's not really a matter of the men changing their viewpoint of having sex with underaged women/girls. Its' the girls who need to change their attitude.
We men don't have instincts to think about the age, then feel she is sexy. We first see a sexy girl and maybe then try to ask ourselves the age, if she really looks young...and the reason for that is because we dont' want to go to jail.
There was a study done and I think it was the hip to waist difference of 25% regardless of any other physical characteristic and men would go nuts over the girl and want to have sex with her. 5% less or more would have a dramatic effect on the natural instincts of mans desire for sex with her. They even painted silouettes and took them to tribes living in the jungle and they all pointed to the one with the waist 25% smaller than the hips.

Another Navy uniform I hate is the popeye blue shirt and blue jean type of pants with bell bottoms and pockets that are square, sewn outside of the pants and look like they were designed for only carrying an I/D card or credit card so it would not give a bulgeing appearance. If your fingers were cold you could put them in the front pockets if you don't mind looking like chicken man with elbows stuck out. The Navy has some of the most useless uniforms!

I never liked that pure white Navy uniform, the shoes and socks should be black, the cuffs on the jacket, collar and eplets should be black. Their should be a stripe down middle highlighting the area of the buttons and the pocket flaps should be black also. The pants should have a stripe down side that is black also and belt should be black. This would make the uniform look much better, bolder and more military yet clean and professional.

Bottom line is, no matter what...you really never fit in Japan if you are anything but pure Japanese. Yes, you may have some friends or people who are friendly toward you but overall not 100% accepted. You can be a novelty of sorts, get laid and all that, but when it comes down to bedrock, you have to accept the facts.

I heard he got his name "guts" from when he was a young boxer, got hit in the stomach and some of his guts came out of his anus. They took him to the hospital and had to operate on him for it. After a recovery period of about six months, he was able to box again he came back and won the title. true story, really!

, women used as object for men's sexual need sometimes in absolut digusting manners, women who would do another job if they could find a better way to gain money (like becoming CEO or PM...)
I agree IF the women are forced to do it, I doubt that is the case in 80-90% of the cases. Once women get a taste of the easy money they'd rather make 6000 a month being a prostitute than work making 1500 at an office working longer hours.
The same can be said for marriage for men in some cases.

dolphin, You've convinced me to check one of these shows out. I never went but I might find out something interesting about it. I went to a live sex show once but walked out because it appeared the girls didn't want to engage in it, and were forced to be there (passports taken).. paid 4000 yen and left within 15 minutes.

I don't see anything wrong with this... the prostitution part. If members are forced to do it, then there is a problem..

This guy seem sour because he was told he was wrong everytime he opened his mouth and tried to give advice about Japan to the wrong guy in a bar. Maybe assuming automatically that he knew it all and found the guy at the bar has lived in Japan longer than he has been alive! I noticed the "new" gaijin that wants to be the authority would like the old timers to just disappear.
1992? Some I know have been in Japan from back in early 1960's. I think this guy has had his bubble busted by a long time expat. I've done it many times to these wannabe's.
