There is one odd thing about this incident. Most people are saying the DPRK started this altercation, but that would mean that they waited, and allowed both the G-20 Meeting and APEC Forum to conclude before attacking. They would hurt the ROK investment opportunities if they had disrupted the G-20 Meeting. Something is amiss since ROK have much more to lose if the G-20 Meeting was disrupted. Another interesting puzzle in the East Asia.

W/ a little more finesse on stage design, these promotional photos could up revenues 5-10%. Marketing needs a bit more awareness. This guy is/was Maximus.

Well, I don't know how this started, but it is appreciated that the APEC Forum was concluded w/out serious incident. Whoever initiated this conflict was polite enough to wait.... thank you.

Both parties should remember that no matter what happens, it will lead back to the 6parties talks - better now than later.

Egads, this photo looks like a police lineup. Vogue has some of the best photographers/set designers in the world, this is an embarrassment to their professionalism. Shouldn't they have a stairway to position to accommodate varying heights, and more subdued lighting. Horrible promotional photo.

I think Ms. Meisa Kuroki is the best fighter pilot of the group - Space Battleship Yamato, nice trailer.

    To YuriOtani,

They don't know now that the US will need Japan's logistical support in the Indian Ocean next year. I'm sure they will be more supportive of your opinions on Space Battleship Yamato when they find out.

Did someone bring up Bio floating platforms? A massive, absolutely MASSIVE Bio Floating Platform used collaboratively to develop the area is a "good" option. A dispute forestalls the peaceful development of a past seemingly irrelevant area.

Given the video leak on the JCG, it would be prudent for them to look into a variable sequence code lock on all digital communications synchronized to something uniquely to a Japanese device.

I know that someone in the White House surveys JT when Asia is a top topic, but do you ever read JT comments? If so, are any comments "humdingers" to you?

Heck, where does one go to get some privacy and a cool drink now that they are closing. Akasaka is a nice area.

I believe the PRC should adhere to the recommendation of former leader of the People's Republic of China, Deng Xiaoping. "(paraphrased) these kinds of issues should be addressed by future generations, but not now." This is not the time to determine borders w/ neighboring states, but a time of caution. From 2011 to the end of 2012, great turmoil is in the cards, and a time to be ready for an unsettling storm.

"It was dear comrade Moa who said, “Political power grows from the barrel of a gun.” It’s not too much of a stretch to imagine that such a violent outlook on life can translate into a gun—whether it be economic or military—being pointed at neighboring countries."

There is very little that can be revamped - the Clinton Administration gave both economic and military power to the PRC - the Loral missile technology transfer augmented the accuracy of the PRC missiles (something not lost on Taiwan leadership). Considerable manufacturing infrastructure was transferred to the PRC, w/ the US a major consumer. US/ROK wargames off the coast of the PRC heightens increasing submarine activity off the islands. Escalation should commence after the Chinese New Year, so everyone should go on moderate alert now.

The ability to analyze photos and films is important in the Far East, since propaganda have been prominent in the numerous wars. Guys from GHQ found the skill critical.

    To Thetruthhurts:

"Yes, the flag was positioned there because flags growing out of the ground naturally would be sooooo impossible."

What I am talking about is the flag is most likely situated on the ground, perhaps held by a person. The flag is not on a mast. The SDF is looking towards the photographer, so I presume some activity to warrant the attention. If the flag is positioned, note how hard it would be to get the angle, and the perfect cropping to the scene. The angle connotes the photographer is elevated - most likely a staged shot (the flag positioning).

    To 888naff,

"there seems to be be big flag in the way of the lovely picture..was this a mis shot"

That photo was taken by a professional photographer - note that w/out the flag, the picture is very plain and common of military assemblies -professionals seek images that provoke emotions. The picture would be sooooo hard to find naturally, the flag was positioned there?

Here's an interesting coincidence - Toshio Tamogami, a former Air Self-Defense Force chief does have the background to get at the truth. That would be interesting.

I still find the timing of the fishing boat/Japanese Coast Guard highly suspicious. Just a few days before the DPJ election, and the PRC would be waiting to see if the DPJ can still be for an Asian Community. Lot of pressure on the DPJ to change there ways from former PM Hatoyama's policies. This is a headache for both countries, but that Capt. on the fishing boat and the Japanese Coast Guard have all the answers.
