That would explain more clearly why Def. Sec. Gates lost his "cool".

The tone of some of the posts connotes "desperateness?".

    To BurakuminDes,

"I predict Ozawa is gonna be bumped off by the yaks in a "payback" before the election is contested...you read it here first."

Are you a US citizen? If you are, you are the second American that mentioned a "political assassination" of former Sec Gen Ozawa. Are the US Bases on Okinawa that important?

Pamelot is very close to what is in Japan. There is a system, and if it is mastered, things are good. For Erika Sawajiri, she will have to come up w/ hit after hit after hit, so that she will not be denied. SMAP and others are big, but they realize they benefit more working in the system. The system exists b/c it works, and many people benefit. Changing the system would be alot of work, and would take someone like "Hibari".

"@ Apec... I'm sure this isn't the official Toyota photo..."

Yeah, I know. However, here is a shot that would sell more Lexus cars - on a circular platform, a iridescent pearl white convertible Lexus, Ms. Mori is being helped out by a guy in a tux. Ms. Chibana is sitting on the rear fender of the car with her head tossed back, laughing while her champagne glass is being filled by another guy in a tux. Lighting lowered waaaaaaaaay down, w/ jewelry lighting hitting the two ladies. That's after a 200 shot session, and its a wrap.

I think I know what the major problems are, but the average US citizens are not actually being told what the spending figures are in contrast to actual revenues - everything is in the Twilight Zone. Many citizens are looking for scapegoats, but are not told the actual situation. I have some idea, but must stay an observer.

This picture seems a waste of talent. If Toyota is trying to get noticed, the car should be the Lexus convertible, white, with a guy in a tux helping out Miss Universe Mori from the driver's side, while 2006 Miss Universe First Chibana either at the front or rear side of the car depending on camera angle, lighting lowered at least 50%. This would be closer to a commercial poster for the event.

PM Kan has one ace that should be played well.... he is well versed in hi-tech, and can set up the industries of tomorrow. As long as former PM Hatoyama and former Sec Gen are near for advice on foreign affairs, he can get things done, but not necessarily the economy. Forces in play in international economics is overwhelming till the end of this year, so PM Kan may be able to mitigate negative developments, but can not single handedly fix the problems. Very helpful if someone in the DPJ can anticipate the coming problems.

This piece of info is something the Koizumi Group did not know. If the 6 party talks restarts in the next 6months, it will be the same, "action, reaction" that occurred before the start of the 6party talks. An overview of developments in key areas needed to be understood, then the key individuals must press the issue for something to happen: this takes coordination and connections.

As a side note, it was during the early part of the 6 party talks that someone from the Koizumi faction conveyed to me they found my influence at the 6 party talks "irritating".

This debate on the 6 party talks was on my initiation, confirmed by a few posts on JT, a few months before it was implemented. As far as Japan is concerned, their position was heavily influenced by former PM Koizumi's faction, who were heavily influenced by former Pres. Bush Administration's "Axis of Evil", and "Arc of Instability" policies. The debate on JT covers generally Japan, DPRK and US, but the level of complexity is waaaaaaaaaay over those variables. The Bush Administration ended, and so did the 6 party talks. It is time to restart the Talks.

"Why in the world a small island nation as Japan needs to be number one, or two, or three makes absolutely no sense."

Japan doesn't need a ranking, but they do have the ultimate mission to complete, if they so chose. By helping others, they will not only become bigger, stronger and prosper, they will fulfill the gifts they have been given. This will become more self evident over the next ten years, and it is very hi tech involving the development of the seas. Japan may have an exciting future, if they are up to the challenge.

It will be a LDP dream future - pouring tons of tons of concrete.

I hope the US knows what it is doing - they are instrumental in restoring Asia to a situation not seen for centuries - the reemergence of a strong PRC, and the present pumping up of India economically. This is something the British Empire did not want, and to have any powerful influence of the region is now at an astronomical level of costs.

I saw this coming in 1998, when former PM, Dr. M averted the 1998 Asian Financial Crisis. It was an historic moment, and I may have been the only one in the world who knew it - my analysis is "bingo" here.

Regulations aside, it is very likely this female pilot is exceptional in drive and aptitude for handling a 737. Because she is the first female connotes extraordinary abilities/drive. Present standards need not be changed significantly, for excellent pilots, male or female, can be employed.

The guy is scum, but not a "child murderer". This issue is more at the level of a guy taking a picture under the skirt of a 11 yrs old and the important job he held?

The reason I ask this question is, prior to the SCAP Occupation, I believe marriage was allowed for children under 16 yrs of age - this is not uncommon in agrarian, ancient cultures.

    To Proudnippon:

From this article, the laws pertaining to the photos being taken is not illegal because of their age? Are the laws concerning this situation very different than, say US. In the US, it would be illegal because of age and conduct unbecoming a doctor. Could you clarify?
