This is one of the rare instances where the model is wearing nylons? Not quite sure, but the short skirt and nylons are nice.

Well, if someone is going to talk about something, it helps to see it. Here are some nice photos of the Poyang class ships and additional links. An interesting note was that the Cheonan WAS outfitted for anti-submarine detection.

At this point, the DPRK would have to have a state of the art silent diesel submarine to pull off an attack on the ROK ship, but the media details are not good at this point.

With the internet, propaganda or not, I would like to first hear both parties as to the sequence of events leading to the sinking. DPRK is supposed to have rudimentary armaments, and for the ROK's ship to get hit undetected, w/out evasive maneuvering sounds odd. Still a lot of questions not clarified in the media.
Prior to the sinking, the DPRK was negotiating a return to the 6party talks, but w/ unreasonable preconditions.

Well, if the Okinawans need a world class economic redevelopment/modernization strategy, I am the tailend, and the last, of the SCAP economic redevelopment grouping. I have the unusual talent, and I do have my weekends off. It can be done if the desire is adequate.

The movie, "Tomorrow Never Dies", where James Bond retorts to Wei Lin's insult, "You have the right corrupt and decadent agent from a western power for a partner (paraphrased). Then the crap hit the fan.

This situation is insane.l The Clinton Administration initiated the economic takeoff of the PRC economy, thus leading to a resurgent Russian Federation economy. Now, the US wants a base structure to protect? Japan from the PRC's military buildup from that economic takeoff. Something is amiss, and I was heavily involved w/ those developments in the 1990's.

HOLY MACKEREL!!!! Where the heck did they get that wild idea of taking a full page ad in a major US newspaper? Pretty soon, there might even be a commercial about this during the "Meet the Press" show. I wonder if they can find out the effectiveness of the ad through the ad agency?

The backdrop to this is a looming economic problem in the US. Toyota does need to backpedal, and they are. Time is needed to see the situation more clearly as more definitive info on the car problems are defined.

"The US military budget isn't anywhere near being close 50% of the US governments budget."
The US Military is probably much higher than publicly stated - ref: former Prof. Chalmers Johnson's Trilogy (GAO has not corrected his figures). This does involve "black budget" or a second economy. One obvious cost - over 700 overseas bases, where each one would cost on the average ???? (one Billion USD?? and the oil to drive the hardware). Major costs are not clearly defined.

Yeah, I can see the SDF getting five of those, and five F35. YuriOtani can fill out the shopping list. Actually, the only thing SDF needs from the RQ-4 Global Hawk is not the hardware, but the securing of the signal frequencies from satellites - Japan has superior electronics.

The photo needs to be cropped - 1/4 to 1/3 of the bottom is unnecessary distractions to the theme. Unless intentional, it seems to be an non composed photo.

The way to go is to have the percentage of catch to be tagged to also replenish future stocks by seeding the area w/more baby tuna fish/eggs. Also, since declining stocks have been confirmed, catch limits be imposed at designated time intervals (example - heavy seeding, limited fishing every five years for a designated optimum time period). Fishing technology is so efficient, the stocking of fish technology should be advanced (Japan would be a prime candidate to research this).
