These "JapanToday polls" seem to have nothing to do with Japan Today.

Anyway I guess if you say James Bond in YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE which mainly took place in places in Japan, then of course Sean Connery wins.

Moderator: Daniel Craig is visiting Tokyo this week for the Japan premiere of "Quantum of Solace." However, the polls do not have to be only about Japan.

"Sarah Palin isn't for taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor, she's for creating wealth that everyone can enjoy, and her state is pretty darn good at it."

Socialism isn't defined as "taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor". Her state is pretty darn good at practicing socialism. The state has collective ownership, takes profits from the rich oil companies and "redistributes the wealth" back to the citizens of Alaska.

It must really grind your gears to know that Palin herself practices what you worry about "Socialism". While she was trying to scare everyone into thinking Obama will turn America into a Socialist country, She herself governs the most "socialist" state in the US. You were trying to tell me last time she isn't for spreading the wealth, but her actions and words show differently.

    "Our crumbling roads and bridges"

And what is NOT true about this statement? At least he's not being a hypocrite like Palin when it comes to Socialism.

The US DOES have a large crumbling infrastructure, the Minnesota bridge collapse last year was just the tip of it. There are over 150,000 bridges in the US rated structurally deficient or obsolete.

I think some people might be confused on what exactly the Michelin guide rate or say. It doesn't say "Japanese food is the best" or that food Japanese food is great compared to that of others, eg it doesn't say Sushi is better then Lambchops. All it does is rate individual restaurants based on various criteria. You can have good tasting food and not get a Michelin star. Tokyo just happens to have lots of restaurants that meet the Michelin criteria to issue a star (or stars). There's lots of dining in Tokyo, and there's more in a city like NY with variety, but Michelin doesn't rate a city based on variety, it rates it based on each individual restaurants performance with a large bias towards French restaurants (even on other city guides) so variety has nothing to do with it.

Posted in: The Michelin guide for 2009 gives Tokyo restaurants the highest number of total stars in the world with 227? Do you think Tokyo is the best dining city in the world?

Many of the attacks have happened in Empty early or really late evening trains. The odds are that any attack would be in a car full of babies, eldery or otherwise other people that can just call the police is very small. So the question about it it affecting those people is kind of mute and even if it were, well, you sure got the attention of a lot of people to distract the perp.

I doubt so, blue ray is jack if you don't have a good TV to go with it. The switch from dvd to blue ray dvd is not as dramatic as it was from VHS to DVD which was totally different. I don't even have a blue ray, DVDs are cheaper and look just fine to me.

Last thing I need is to get stuck or delayed by a group of people doing jackassery, I don't care if they are foreigners, Japanese, martians, whatever.

Want to hold a party and drink, go to a bar or something.

In many other countries including democratic nations you need permits if you wish to hold demonstrations at certain locations.

I know thats a whole can of worms about something being democratic or not, I'm just looking at this from a public safety standpoint of view.

For what reason, he wasn't even on trial yet, and despite what is portrayed in the news media from time to time about the LAPD, I highly doubt that the LAPD would beat up a high profile case like Miura, first off, they have no reason to, and the media was covering it like crazy. Why would they (the LAPD and prosecutors) go through all that trouble to get the guy, have international coverage, only to bring him over to whack him off even before the trail started, makes absolutely no sense at all. He was probably given a special holding area because of the high profile case of it. The most highly likely scenario was, on the plane ride over, he figured he was screwed and did the Japanese thing and offed himself.

The injuries he had could of been anything or nothing, I mean the guy is a pathologies hired by the defense, if you got a high profile attorney like Gerogos you can pretty much hire a witness that says the sky isn't blue but yellow.

    Doesn't sound funny at all.
In Saipan he figured he could fight the case so he didn't off himself, when everything went against him and he was transferred to LA, he probably thought long and good on the plane ride over, and decided to of himself in LA, once again trying to cause a stir even in death.

Wipe out everyone's debt, just clean slate for everyone, and give me a piece of that 900billion. Eliminate credit, go back to cash, and trading stuff. "I'll buy that DVD player with 3 cows".

I take it you don't want much tv or movies. Bedsheets, pants, belt, shirt, many things can be used in place of a rope.

Using a tazer has its plus and minuses like I said before. In New York City, the NYPD tazed a naked guy who fell down hit his head and died. If they (J-police) could of tazered this guy (near water?) he falls, drowns, or hits his head on the rocks as he falls, then everyone would be here complaining about police brutality and all. Some guys coming at you naked or not throwing rocks, you stepped back. I give credit to the J police for dealing with this situation without the need to use over excessive force that you might see elsewhere, especially in case where the person might be mentally unstable.

Others: Coach seats seeming to get smaller and smaller, and less service on planes these days too. Many domestic flights in the US you have to buy your own food now.
