I was sitting next to two dudes at Starbucks tonight. One guy started talking about what was in his lucky bag. He got a t-shirt and a watch. He referred to the watch as kawaii several times.

source? if somebody left him to die as the place was going up, without alerting anybody, how would the cops deal with that.
Maybe he was just hammered, having a smoke, and poof.

sounds eerily similar to that tony rocky horror story from pulp fiction.
I can't help but think that in some small part, this women was hoping for a suicide by somebody else' hands, much like when unarmed men approach cops, and pretend to be armed so they can get shot.
She egged the guy on twice, even while she was at the balconies edge. These poor little kids are pretty much messed up for life.
Something also tells me that this couple is beyond marriage counseling.

However horrible it must have been to have your ex-girlfriend get three goons (including a cop) to bully you, break your nose, confine you and withhold food and water for three days, at least they didn't kill the guy.
Moral of the story? Beware the fury (and power to enlist help of pathetic males) of a nutter J-girl.

The kid assaulted her after school on Friday. The police (not her parents or other family members) found her Saturday morning at 5AM.
That means she lay there, beat, unconscious in a cold field all night wearing her not-designed-for-warmth school uniform.
How horrible.

Somebody better tell these "journalists" that the "Decade" they're implying (e.g. the first decade of the twenty first century) doesn't end until the END of 2010. Of course, the way the word "decade" has been thrown around, it's not really specified, meaning that they could theoretically have all these "in the past decade" stories every single year and still be technically correct.

Great. They've just made it illegal (or against the rules) for concerned citizens to stop an attempted terrorist attack on a plane.
Seriously, how much would it be to employ an armed guard to watch the plane? Certainly no more than paying an extra flight attendant? I'd rather pay an extra fifty bucks for my ticket knowing a trained security guard could shoot dead any idiot terrorist.

My experience:
I used to work at Disneyland. I learned how to say simple things like "please, thank you, have fun" in many different languages. Every single non English speaking person was outwardly pleased that I spoke their language. Except for the Japanese. They acted as if it were expected for me to speak Japanese to them outside of Japan.

Way to to Japanese Justice system.
This article is almost a year in the making. This poor kids mind is likely irreversibly damaged due to this monster pretending to be her mother. I hope they castrate the man, lock up the woman and throw away the key, and somehow let this girl grow up and have a normal life.
Sadly, none of that will likely happen.

I hope the cops are going to do a little bit more investigating than this. Throwing yourself out of a car is an odd way to off yourself. At the very least I hope the J coppers at least consider the circumstances surrounding this horrible event with taking the "co workers" statements at face value.
I certainly hope there weren't any kids that witnessed this horrific event.

Dude is just angry that the Cuban cigar solution was ignored in Copenhagen. There has been absolutely no scientific evidence that Cuban cigars contribute less to global warming that other cigars (primarily from Honduras.)

um, no it shouldn't. As pointed out by linguist Steven Pinker in his book "The Language Instinct," the phrase "I could care less" is sarcastic, and obeys the rules of grammar as applied to sarcasm. If you were to stress the "could" then it wouldn't be sarcastic, but in the sentence "I could care less," the "care less" is the stressed phrase.
Interesting book. He spends a whole chapter debunking so called "language experts" criticisms such as this one. Fairly enlightening, and a fascinating read for those interested in language and the true nature of grammar.
