"I planned on killing myself too."
I don't believe that for a frikking second.
those that plan on a double suicide usually follow through. Those that murder for other reasons usually make up stories after the fact.
Questions:
Where exactly was the husband during all of this? How did he find out? why didn't he stop it?

why all the hate? This is the kind of thing you need to be successful. Take an existing set of products (apartments), re-package it without needing to actually produce anything (re model) and sell it to a hot niche (women who want to escape from reality).
Of course, a couple of cute girls selling cheap shared apartments with gaudy interior design to females only will ALWAYS get much more press than the hundreds, if not thousands of landlords who have already jumped on this bandwagon and converted closet space and rented them out to part timers one or two meals way from poverty.
When its done for guys, its necessary, economy, etc.
When a couple of cuties do it its kawaii, cutting edge, brilliant, photogenic, media savvy, etc.

A guy gets beat in your restaurant, and you "look after" the guy?
Why didn't he just call an ambulance or the cops straight away? usually a bar brawl that ends with somebody injured, you call the cops.
WTF is wrong with these people?

And after you spent an hour explaining yourself, and filling out the proper forms, while the police organized an official, by the book and up the level of command approved search of where you saw him, the dude would have had another plastic surgery.

I need me a couple of thermal tops, and uniqlo is the perfect place to get 'em. warm and sensibly priced. I bought a bunch last year but I can only find two of them. Oh well. Maybe I'll bump into one of these models there....

And why in the world was a plainclothes officer doing in patrol car?
And why in the world did a guy flash a lady in a cop car?

I think "jihadists ideas" is a more appropriate term. I don't think they are sending in sleeper agents ala Tom Clancy just yet. If they were, that would be an awful lot of planning and work just to kill some unfortunate soldiers with a couple handguns. You'd think they would be able to plan something bigger.
I suspect this was a combination of "jihadist ideas" and just the normal "snapping nutter" syndrome.

I like movies. I see lots of movies. If it's made by QT, I'll see it. Some I'll even watch several times over the course of several years (pulp fiction, kill Bill I).
As far as two hours of entertainment, QT's movies are worth the price of a movie ticket.
That being said, Jackie Brown sucked. If I was channels surfing and came across that, I wouldn't stop for very long.

True Fact: There is a huge online market of erotic fiction for women. And by far, the best selling genre is where the vampire comes in, swoops the woman off her feet, and makes mad vampire love to her.
The whole twilight series is mind pornography for teenage girls. Strong dominant man giving up his power to be with the average jane that he loves.
Even the final scene in the first twilight was a metaphor for a man making love to a woman and holding himself off from orgasm because she couldn't take it. (the scene where he has to bite her to save her but not enough to turn her into a vampire)
The vampire boom will never end.

Headline: "dude spends one million yen, blah blah blah"
Actual Story: "I heard that they did this and that so they must've spent at least a million yen"
So the assertion of fact in the headline, the core of this story, is based on a guess based on second hand information of an unnamed "spectator."
Brilliant reporting JT.
Moderator: It's not JT reporting, but Shukan Post reporting.

Hope she and the kid pull through ok. And sick as it sounds, I'm glad the dude successfully killed himself, unlike many other cases, where the victims are the only ones that die. Dude must be messed to stab a six month old.

this is about the same as a closet racist saying "some of my friends are black..."
maybe, but you wouldn't want one marrying your daughter, just like despite not liking whale meat, Hatoyama ultimately supports the whaling industry.
Just another empty political statement meant to appease without conceding anything.
