Not a design flaw. A design flaw is a seat belt that comes undone during a crash, or a bike chain that breaks under pressure. This is a design flaw like a tree on the side of the road is a design flaw. Guardrails like this open up all the time for road turnoffs. Granted they are slightly curved at the end, but you aren't supposed to ram into them at 100 KMP. If you stay on the road, where you are supposed to, then this wouldn't happen. The reason I said that I hoped she wasn't talking/looking at her cell was that would make it unbearably more painful to the mom to remember this as her fault. I hope it was some car malfunction, or an animal ran across the road, or something that she can at least someday hold herself blameless for this horrible accident.

Ok, I take it back. I think that same boy, and the girl, on the far right, between the word "wife" and "children" on the caption, are looking at the same thing. Perhaps they see an invisible venetian bodyguard that is watching over FLOJP.

The police went further into the living room and then stood frozen at the sight before them. Worn clothing, magazines, empty plastic bottles and cans, some only half consumed and gone stale, littered the floor.

Sounds like my apartment. I guess to a anally retentive neat freak, a few bottles and clothes strewn about would be absolutely horrific. I guess these cops wouldn't do so well at a REAL crime scene.

    @womanforwoman

    BUT DONT GET CAUGHT!!

um, the easiest way to not get caught in these situations is to give a fake name and contact info. Unless this genius really was expecting her to pay him back, which given the intelligence of the japanese criminal mind, is fairly likely.

Those kids look bored as hell. That one kid directly behind (in the white shorts and the gray shirt) her looks like he is checking out the goods.

I don't know about the gold jacket though.

What a horrible way to go. This poor mother will never ever forget this. I really really hope she wasn't talking on or looking at her phone when this happened. Driving is for driving, pay attention. No reason to crash into a stationary object during daylight.

Hopefully after asking around, they'll figure out who this guy is and arrest him. Hope a full recovery for the stabbed dude. Good on the citizens for calling it in, likely they saved him from bleeding to death.

Wall Street’s affinity for Google is driven by money.

ain't just wall street folks, 80 percent of internet searches are performed using Google, BECAUSE IT IS A BETTER SEARCH ENGINE.

Usually when the competition out sells you, it's because it has a better product. Maybe these yahooligans should have taken the Microsoft money and run.

I didn't pay her for the sex, I paid her to keep quit about it after wards. I didn't realize what a losing proposition that it was, as she could always threaten to raise the rates.

When are these fools gonna learn? when paying an underage girl for sex, ALWAYS give a fake name and contact info. Sheesh.

Global warming is not caused by CO2 emissions. It is caused by natural cycles of solar radiation. Despite how big your egos' are, mankind cannot warm the planet even if he tried. We are no match for the large forces of mother natural (sun, earth, etc) that don't care one iota about puny humans running around pretending they can change the earth's climate.

The truth of the matter is that first world countries are promoting this "man made global warming myth" in order to keep their first world status. There is no way third world countries can become developed if they don't employ carbon emitting factories and technology. This is simply a way to keep power among those that already have it.

That and Hatoyama is trying to deflect international attention from that whole dolphin killing fiasco, and trying to bring the Olympics to Tokyo. Otherwise, he will just be another fool in a long line of Japanese politicians who haven't done squat for this country.

Point one: In any group of people you will have people on either sides of the bell curve, whatever it happens to be measuring; height, weight, intelligence, number of sexual partners.

Point Two: Promiscuous women generally don't attract men of quality character. Nor do men sorting through crowds of females for one night stands identify the one's that would be good mothers for their children.

Point Three: Any journalist that didn't flunk out of journalism school can write any article that supports any angle about society by simply knowing whom to select and interview that will support their particular angle.

Point Four: An article about promiscious women and throw away men cater to both men (because men like the idea of a society filled with easy lays) and many women (they can feel morally superior to both Women AND Men at the same time) it is truly win/win topic from a publishing standpoint.

Conclusion: While entertaining, this article is far from an honest slice of reality. The only thing that was disposed was the authors objectivity.

Our children are the most precious

To most people. Not to some. Unfortunately. The sad fact is that to many, children are a mistake, a burden, a trick to secure a husband that didn't turn out so well...shoganai..

This study group is useless. There has been plenty of stories of parents abusing their kids, then taking them to the hospital, and then the hospital calling the cops. This is easy when the parents are "trailer trash" or whatever the Japanese equivalent is, but when they are normal white collar people, then it's a whole nother ball game. When the majority of Japanese women won't call the cops when they themselves have been abused, how do you expect them to call the cops when they suspect abuse of some white collar individual, many times views as having a higher social position than them?

Any adult with a child a half a brain usually has enough wits to keep an eye on their kid when a train is coming. See, trains usually make a lot of noise, and that "clang clang clang" thingy that goes off usually alerts people to danger.

That being said, just last week I saw two kids, unsupervised, about 8 and 5, playing near the tracks at a station out in inaka. They were smart enough to step back when the trains actually passed, but what surprised me was that not only did NONE of the adults seemed concerned that two kids were playing dangerously close to the tracks, but two elderly people kept waiving at them, which of course caused the kids to stop paying attention to the trains and wave back at the lonely old people, actually moving closer to the tracks so they could wave at them.

They were always nagging me about smoking too much and so on and I didn’t want to hear it, so I thought my only choice was to kill them

And you assumed you would be able to smoke all you wanted in prison?

This couple is just casually browsing. There is nothing out on the table, indicating they have specified any shopping criteria. The woman's purse is still around her arm, as if they are just casually passing by. The shopkeeper has a stance of "can I help you with something?" not the stance of somebody trying to sell a customer a specific product. The ring on the woman's finger belongs to her. She has her fingers clenched and she is not looking at the ring. The man is fidgeting with his ring wondering how in the heck they wandered into a ring shop. He is already spent money, as the bag(s) on his right arm indicate.

He is standing facing more towards her than the ring stand. They are likely already married, as their rings appear to match.

Usually when a man fiddles with his wedding ring when the topic of marriage comes up, it is a subconscious indication of regret.

Lots of kids hate their parents. Most deal with it by becoming independent and moving out of the house as quickly as they can. Others let their hate fester and then a big argument when they are in their thirties. Still others, like this nutter, wait until the old man is too weak to defend himself and then stab him in the chest.

Maybe she was raped when she was three. Maybe she thought she was a princess and daddy never bought her a pony. Nobody knows, as her imagination will come with all kinds of excuses and reasons why she did this.

Where was her mom during all these years of hate?

That being said, I've seen/heard some old coots in grocery stores bossing their wives/female family members around like low paid slaves. that has to get on your nerves after a while.

I'll bet everyone that is involved with movies that get in the bottom five of the top ten won't be complaining.

And if it means more Hollywood movies coming out here to my rice paddy filled countryside village, I'm all for it.
