This has been going on since civilization began. Even in Rome a significant portion of the budget was to give bread as welfare to many living on the dole. What's a society to do when there are more willing workers than there are jobs? If you start giving out free money, people take advantage and everybody suffers.
No blame on capitalism, or socialism. This is just part and parcel to human life, unfortunately.
Be thankful for what you've got.

What is the risk compared to he inconvenience of protecting against that risk.
Since there are no risks in safety japan, nobody needs to make any effort at protection.

This is about the only hope you have to protect yourself. These are second rate government officials, talking about something that is of little importance in both Japanese and American politics. There won't likely be any change in the future.
The only way to protect yourself is on an individual basis, without any help from the J-government.
As the world begins to figure out that Japan Inc. was really a one hit wonder that is quickly losing it's luster, this will be just another nail in the coffin of Japans international reputation.

This story has FAIL written all over it from about fifteen different angles.
How in the world do you "find" a dead kid with a bullet hole in his head? Wouldn't that make quite a loud noise? How did the father mysteriously get into the room just after he killed himself when for three days he couldn't?
Poor kid. What a sad way to go.

While it may sound warm and fuzzy to use words like "self sustainability" and "eco friendly" everything we have today is at some cost to the environment.
One common example that is often ignored is that huge ships, those tankers that bring all kinds of goods across oceans from one country to another, use an immense amount of fossil fuels, and create an immense amount of pollution. Unless a country is completely self sufficient, no imports and no exports, these ships are an absolute requirement of every day life.
So far I haven't seen any companies working on building "hybrid" ships.
While it may "feel good" to pretend to be eco and self sustaining, it really isn't doing much good, unless you are prepared to forego electricity, hunt with a bow and arrow every day, and build a fire to keep warm at night.
All this "eco" nonsense is really just latest fashion, a way to show off your status to your neighbors.
The "smug" factor, so to speak.

I remember when they came out with cable TV Long long ago. They said since you were paying for content, that it would be FREE from advertisements. That lasted about two weeks, if I recall correctly.
Since there will ALWAYS be advertisements, there is no reason to PAY for content. NONE.

The question was to what extent was the 14 y/o involved. What she forced by the, pics taken solo, or with somebody else? Was it something that the 14 y/o was doing anyway? The mom works in a bar and had the kid when she was 22, so I kind of doubt that the 14 y/o has had any decent role models to speak of. They didn't mention if she is even a student or not. And whose underwear was the mom selling on that underwear site? Since she wasn't arrested for that, is it ok to sell you kids undies online?

The easiest and most reliable to get in and stay in office is to promise to give to people for nothing what they aren't able or aren't willing to earn for themselves.
Few politicians ever got elected by promising the common man an opportunity to actually take a risk and make something of himself.

Marriages in the west are also declining, and have been for several years. the main reason is people are starting to question the reason. People hook up, have fun, and that's that. The social pressure to get married is slowly decreasing.
But in Japan, you have a completely different dynamic. There is still a huge social pressure to get married, but the social skills of the average person here are absolutely horrible. So the people that do end up getting married don't have much physical lust for each other to begin with. It's just another societal duty.
If guys would simply bust out of there shell and learn some basic game, they'd realize that good sex is fantastic, and all that "economic" excuse is just that - an excuse. all the girls here don't dress provocatively just because it's in fashion. They want to get seduced, but nobody knows how.

Thick, gray line. Girls want attention, so they wear short skirts. They get too much attention, they call the cops.
Laws were meant to protect most of the people, most of the time. If you are a girl worried about pervs, take some defensive action and wear longer skirts.
If you are a perv and worried about the cops, get one of those spy camera's that goes on your shoe or something.

On the one hand, capitalism usually rules the day, despite any false market restraints you try to put in place. If Japanese are willing to pay a hefty price for tuna, people will fish it and sell it to them. If anything curbs the Japanese taste for tuna, it will be the price, and not some artificial ban that cannot be enforced.
On the other hand, this will only make Japan look more and more like a childish, selfish and greedy nation that doesn't care a whit about the environment.

I've seen cars with kids in them plenty of times, when mom pops into the store for some much needed respite. Not saying I condone it, but I understand.
No idea what this woman's situation is, other kids, happy, helpful husband and father, or single mom and this kid was a mistake that she regrets. Glad the kid is OK. I wonder if the dude on the bike was doing this to send a message, or just another nutter criminal that saw an opportunity and figured he'd bring some thrilling adventure into his otherwise boring life.
Does anybody know the exactly laws of leaving our kid in a car? I've seen it so many times, and nobody seems to give it a second thought, I doubt it's illegal.

this may come as a shock, but a young girls flesh feels pretty good to most men, despite what you may have heard in church.
It happens in trains, I suspect, because one could start out "accidently" and see if you get any response. Every time I suppose each encounter gets longer and longer.

There's a whole lot of dysfunctionality going on here. This girl is gonna have a messed up life after this incident, for sure.
