Anyone know if they sold out there today at the Apple Store? At Yodobashi Camera in Yokohama, I was told today that there was a 2-week wait for one. Still, a long line of buyers reserving one in advance. I wonder if you can go to the Ginza Apple store on Friday and actually buy one?

Ai-chan's got the right attitude. She's holding the winner's trophy to get used to the feel of carrying it after Sunday! And she is all ready to go hit the range and work on her game instead of playing dress-up. At least she looks like she is there to win a golf tournament.

Yep. If Nikon, Canon, Olympus and Ricoh can provide English menus for their cameras sold in Japan, why not Panasonic and Sony? For that reason, those four are the only cameras I would consider here. If you want to use a camera for more than just point and shoot and take advantage of every feature, you do have to be able to that menu on the LCD.

I used to work at the Dallas Morning News and would go through Dealey Plaza every day. There is a great museum on the 6th floor where Oswald shot Kennedy from. From visiting there and walking the site many times, there is no doubt that Oswald could have easily hit a slow-moving target from that short distance to the street. That plaza area and Grassy Knoll are also smaller in real life than you might imagine. My paper even publicized Kennedy's motorcade route the day before. All those conspiracy authors who are selling their books in Dealey Plaza have made a ton of money off their theories, but if you get the chance, go there and take a look for yourself.

You can't score a fight based on how fighter's faces look. A lot of walk-in fighters like Joe Frazier would always come out of a fight with a swollen and puffy face, but he was the fighter moving forward, so of course, he would get hit all night long. But judges in the rest of the world award points for aggression and making the fight. If you had another boring counter-puncher like Kameda in there instead of Naito, you would have a snoozefest. A guy like Naito has a swollen and puffy face, even when he's not fighting! Every show I've seen him on here, it seems his nose and face swells up the more I watch him. But boxing has gone downhill from even the 1970s when you had to convincingly whip a champion to take his belt. If Naito would have had some decent trainers teaching him to fight a southpaw like Kameda, and got him to work the body and pound the arms like Marciano used to do to bring his opponent's guard down, and also use the uppercut when Kameda would lunge at him, he might have knocked him out.

I agree with Junnama. Fight could have easily been scored a draw, which meant Naito kept his title and then they could fight again in a lucrative rematch. You usually don't take titles by running from the champion for most of the fight.

I watched the fight and thought that Naito should have gotten the decision. He was the champion and the aggressor, he carried the fight to Kameda, who for the most part, ran and just tried to counter-punch. Naito also landed the harder punches. In the old days, you had to beat a champion decisively to take the title. He did not do that. I don't think he did enough to take the decision, but boxing is full of bad decisions. Good for the promoters, though.
