Shut up! Until they get Krispy Kreme over here in the sticks, I don't wanna hear ANY MORE about tasty donuts! (doughnuts?) And p.s. waiting in the line is the best part - lovely ladies like to talk to me, and the free, fresh donut is so tasty. I love it. It's better than ZaZen.

Hindsight is like that, and kudos to those parents out there who thought of the windows first. BS, as I visited my friend in a high rise, I was amazed that her two boys had easy access to a balcony on the 17th floor. The FIRST thing I thought was, make it inaccessible, and these weren't even my kids. If they were mine, I'd NEVER let them anywhere near that balcony. BS, that mother is 100% at fault, and if it were up to me, she get a long stretch indoors to think about it. Stupid!

The woman filed a report with police last Tuesday after Koga hit her, fracturing her rib. Police advised her to move back into her parents’ home temporarily and to move her car away from her apartment.
I agree with most posters that the police are totally incompetent in this case (and far too many other cases), but I think in this case the police should be charged also - aiding and abeting, and maybe conspiracy.
They seemed to be much more actively involved in the crime.

10% off at Isetan! Oh BFD. The prices at Isetan are inflated about 200% already. Is this really going to satisfy a tourist who can buy essentially the same items in their home country for about 1/4 the price. Sometimes I wonder if J-managers have ever stepped off the island to see what life is like elsewhere?

As usual the J-imagination runs wild when it comes to crime in Japan. Gotta love it, unless you are the target.
But I often feel like this is what happens in my meetings in Japan.
