April 19th - perfect. My mother's birthday - she was groped on when she visited me in Tokyo. She was 65 years old, and shocked. BTW, groping is a euphemism that shouldn't be used here - say "Sexually Molested," please.

I have been an avid sumo fan for more than 20 years, but this is the end for me. Hakuho without Asashoryu is dull dull dull. It's finished, kaput. Give me a call when we get another Asashoryu. Goodbye, goodnight, sayonara.

CapnSinbad at 07:51 PM JST - 26th February Kim knew she had it in the bag as soon as she finished and deservedly so. Her jumps and landings were poetry in motion and her smiles were lovely to witness. Mao the sourpuss should only have been photographed from the neck down, what a dour performance.
First sentence okay, second is not. Mao from the neck down was worse. It must have been her insane coach who chose the costume Mao wore - she could have looked stunning & fresh, like the young lady she is, but she looked more like a soiled dove in a 1850's San Francisco dance. Fire the coach? No, deport her, and don't let her near any skater in the future. She's obviously been too long out of out.
Kim Yuna is the best thing to come along for many many years. In my opinion, she is miles ahead of the competition, and I knew she had the gold in the bag after her first combination jump, and she knew it, and skated the rest of her performance like she knew it.
Mao on the other hand looked like a pouter from beginning to end. Her performance after the scores were announced is a huge sad black eye for her, and for all of Japan. It made our country look like a bunch of whining babies. Grow up Mao, and grow up Japan. You just got out-scored by the best! Way to go Kim Yuna!

Basically, all sports that depend on judges' opinions should be eliminated. Races, timed events only should be allowed.
OR, there should be internet judging like American Idol. We may not know the scoring system so much, but we know what is fun to watch:
