This thing happens a lot at his age. I hope everyone is made aware of this so they avoid relying on someone past 70 to drop off their kids. It's different for each person, but that's around the age a lot of grandparents have total memory loss.

Al Qaeda considers us terrorists for supporting Israel, so they're inclined to agree with Bush. They've only been killing and torturing terrorists all along, right? There you go, that's the ticket.

On the back of the tickets should read: "Not for resale or gifting to gansters"

Why is this even against the law? If these people have broken the law, arrest them. If they're not, then why are the police involved?

Why difference does it make that Israeli subs were a quarter of a globe away from North Korea? It's not even relevant when you have parts from a North Korean torpedo, and the fact that North Korea has made attacks like this all the time and denied it first before admitting to it? Kidnappings, even previous sub attacks - they denied it before later admitting to it after overwhelming evidence. This is simply history repeating itself.

Was there even a reason, or is this just what happens when he's drunk? That's a lot of alcohol in any case!

Is this an onion article? Because Ronald McDonald isn't real. If you think it should be illegal to use fictional characters like Ronald McDonald to advertise fast food, go ahead and contact your local legislator.

Yes Okinawans have been given the raw end of the deal by both Japan and the US throughout history. But gimme a break about "Ryukyuans" - the vast majority of Okinawans consider themselves Japanese. The few that don't should certainly be given a voice and their own representation, but let's not get carried away here.

I agree Okinawa should be made aware of what's happening and why. That said, a lot of them act like children. There's a good reason why the Ryukyuans were conquered - the same reason they brutally conquered other peoples and existed in the first place as a kingdom.

Exactly Starviking, it's amazing how intentionally ignorant some people try to be. Wow.

In much of feudal times it was also for show, especially in the Tokugawa era. High ranking samurai were never expected to actually use their swords, let alone the rank and file during the long periods of relative peace.

North Korea pulls stunts like this all the time. They denied plenty of attacks in the past that they later completely admitted to. They kidnapped people repeatedly and denied that too - until they finally admitted to it. Get a clue conspiracy theorists, it's getting old.

All these headlines should read "NK threatens war a second time in six months" Usually it isn't even a year between these threats of "total war". Just a few years ago they threatened to nuke the US, so it's not like this recent threat is even them trying very hard.

Boycotting China over inaction in NK isn't going to work or happen. That's like all the nations trying to boycott the US for supporting Israel, or the US trying to get China to boycott Iran, or oh wait isn't every country trying to get every other country to boycott everyone else? Yeah, that's why these "get your friend to boycott" campaigns just don't work. Sorry.

The north is obviously not going to attack if you know even the first thing about how often they threaten total war. The last time they threatened sacred war was 6 months ago last November. They do this every 1-2 years over the smallest issues, let alone the recent one. Get a clue folks.

Um, I hope people are not so ignorant as to think loudspeakers are a new and untested idea. They've done this for a very long time and only stopped during the sunshine policy era. Those loudspeakers go beyond 10 kilometers especially on a clear night. Many defectors have attested to hearing these broadcasts and others. So if you're going to open your mouth as some expert on loudspeakers, get your facts right.

It's very very simple. Don't let them step off base.

Now if we're trying to be realistic rather than absolutely prevent crime 100%, then sure we can let them off base but that needs to be limited. In Korea they're pretty strict about where soldiers can go, and it helps if you enforce the existing no drinking policy.
