Always welcome new additions, but aren't there a few too many curry houses in Akihabara already? Or are they stereotyping us as curry addicts? I guess there's some truth in that..

No and no. This is like asking if illegal immigrants can pick fruit, then asking if they should be. Can is different than should.

Wow, that's a pretty good description of the very government they helped create the last 10 years. I sure hope none of these people voted for Bush because that would sure be ironic.

They should gas and bury him, then deny that too. The punishment for these crimes should be as ironic as possible.

While I agree prices are high, for a lot of produce you simply can't buy it in the US. In Europe, it wouldn't even be available - which to their credit is because they prefer to sell local quality goods. They aren't making a huge profit on produce at the stores - it's priced high because it costs them a lot too.
That said, you couldn't get top Japanese quality grapes in the US or Europe at any price. Not a hundred dollars would buy it, but twenty will get you a perfect batch in Japan.

What a surprise! In any case, a civil case is about a hundred times easier to win than a criminal one for the level of evidence required. GS will deny and cry and whine and plead until the last step of denial which is acceptance in the form of settlement.
That said, it's the first charge laid out and not the last. The key to getting criminal convictions is to make someone squeal and rat out their buddies.
They're not going to pursue hard criminal charges also because it would literally put GS out of business like Anderson consulting, and as wonderful that would be there would be too much collateral damage among otherwise innocent bystanders.

Yeah, don't cross the media because they will come after you. I had to roll my eyes at the weeks of outrageous and bizarre rumors that didn't even make any common sense.

To call it sparring is like saying Tina Fey and Sarah Palin are sparring. Imebeciles.

If they're against taxes, they should love Obama.
I remember when wanting to be the world police and deficit spending used to be a liberal idea. Seems conservatives have been loving it the last 10 years. Face it, both the GOP and Democratic party are wildly liberal, the only difference being the GOP for some reason thinks they're actually conservative because they like to shoot abortion doctors and bash gays. Nice.

Azzassa, this author and most people recognize that Japanese public daycare is actually excellent. It's one of the only things the Japanese government does right. That's why he wants to get his child in, in front of poor working mothers who have no choice. I don't blame him for trying, of course.

As bcbrownboy pointed out, putting a one year old child into day care is a matter of last resort. If you can't take care of your children, don't have them.
More importantly as others here have pointed out, clearly you are less deserving than the full time workers you listed. It's perplexing to think you should be put in front of them when they clearly need it more than you and your wife does not need to be working part-time going to school. She wants to. There are definitely a lot of people using daycare who have no choice and barely get by. I hope you appreciate this.
Sure, why not give you more points for your situation. It just shouldn't put you ahead of more deserving applications. Everybody thinks "I deserve better than my neighbor", and you haven't yet made the case that you are more deserving. Just that you should have gotten more points and still gotten rejected.

The decline of Japan happened when they joined WWII. It recovered after WWII ended. Ironic for a right winger to be opening his mouth on this.

Movies look great, but take forever and a half to load up. We've taken a step back in convenience, but a step forward in quality. BD sucks and ruins playback, please stop using it.

And I'm all for free speech, but these groups invariably resort to harassment and even violence to achieve their goals. Cursing at school children with megaphones and blocking public walkways is not free speech.

Japanese should be angry, that a few right wing fascists are trying to terrorize everyone into submitting to their convoluted views on what Japan is.

Mizunaga was quoted as saying, “I didn’t think cops from Tokyo would head all the way down to Fukuyama.”
I think the fact that Mizunaga lives in Fukuyama and has done this for 30 years may have something to do with it. All the complaints finally caught up to this guy.
They need to make special laws for special people like this, to ensure career criminals hand back to society all the money they've stolen their whole life.

Green cars are reserved seats, slightly nicer but not by much. I believe it may help on busy days so you can have a guaranteed seat instead of having to stand if the other cars are full.

This is similar to the oil sufficiency of the US, and asking Americans to stop driving cars. Yeah good luck with that. At least Japan here has an excuse - there's simply not much land and you can't ask people to stop eating like you can ask them to stop burning millions of barrels of oil.
