If African "democracies" can continue to blame the legacy of colonialism 40+ years ago for their present day failures, Obama and the media can certainly blame Bush for the policy failures that are coming for the U.S. over the next eight years. Most of what Obama has planned - LBJ Great Society measures, massive foreign aid programs to the 3rd world, higher taxes on the producers, etc.- have failed in the past and will fail in the future. It will be interesting to see how long the fawning media can keep all of the negatives swept under the rug.

More hysteria over Palin by the politically correct. Now they're on record with the Secret Service. That will be a nice little nugget for the jury should either of these clowns ever get in trouble with the law - perhaps if one of them over reacts and bitch slaps a loud right wing type.
This is more of a distortion of history by the civil rights people than reality. There were plenty of hangings in America's 19th Century West and hardly any were of blacks. The noose is really a symbol of vigilante justice, not racism, and not necessarily bad if you have a corrupt legal system that lets criminals go through jury nullification (think O.J. Simpson) or other underhanded means, such as not inditing, evidence tampering or executive pardons.

Exactly. Obama is fraud. A con man. The irony is that if he wins, all of his constituents-blacks, liberals, Jews, hand wringing whites, etc.- lose. Obama can't deliver on his promises. He's like a political hand grenade. Elect him and he's going to blow. Everyone near him goes down, the country goes down and those that will rise to the top will be the same right wing crowd that put that jerk-off Bush into office. Maybe they'll get it right next time

What a couple of morons. The best thing that could ever happen to the white nationalist movement is for America to elect Obama President and let his racist bitch wife get her hands on a microphone.
By the way, the reason 88 is sacred to these goof balls is that H is the 8th letter in the English alphabet. 88 = HH = Heil Hitler. That's my little neo-nazi factoid for the day. Cheers.

So the Prius plant went to Mississippi, eh? I thought California was fighting hard to get it. I guess they could fight as hard as they wanted to, it wouldn't do any good. When your state is a financial, demographic, social and political basket case, no sound, well run corporation is going to locate a plant there. The same reason a Michigan bid would be dead on arrival. I look forward to seeing the next generation of Prius hybrids come out of Dixie and being sold to Californians.

For those on the board who don't actually read the news, Pallin, as Governor of Alaska, pushed through a project to build a natural gas pipeline to the lower 48 states that had been stalled for years. So she is trying to supply natural gas to the U.S., but it is stupid to liquify it so as to ship it by tanker to the lower 48.
There is nothing wrong with the U.S. supplying Japan - a U.S. ally, with natural gas and oil. It is certainly better than having them become dependent upon Russian oil & gas.

San Francisco already has a large sex trafficking problem with girls from Korea and China in particular and the mayor -who I don't particularly like otherwise - is making a special effort to crack down on it.
This law would make it more difficult to protect girls who are brought in by traffickers and abused. For example, girls that don't realize what they are getting into when they agree to get smuggled into the USA. If this law were passed, it would be a magnet for scumbag traffickers from Eastern Europe, too. And they are even more violent and cut-throat.
I don't disagree with legalizing prostitution, but where it does get legalized, like Amsterdam or Israel, you have still have trafficking proplems and the abuse of the girls that comes with it. You can't decriminalize without installing draconian anti-trafficking laws.

Beats getting gang-raped in a California prison by a bunch of black or "Latino" gang members. If I were in his shoes -elderly, Japanese, foreign, weak, and very likely to get convicted- I would have done the same. If he were facing being dropped into a tigers' cage instead of a California prison, he may not have killed himself.

What a tragedy for Europe. He will be missed, but we must appreciate what he did for Europe. He was the first European populist to break through the Euro-socialist ceiling and get into a national government. Even the old guard like Le Pen are in his debt.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Haider.

This is so ridiculous and partisan. The state trooper Palin wanted fired had tasered a 10-year-old for kicks while off duty (or was he 12?). It was negligent for anyone to protect a law officer, so Palin was right to fire the safety commissioner for not firing this loose cannon.
Let me give you another example. Several years ago, it was learned that several white cops went camping and they used a black manequin for target practice. When this came to light, they were fired. If that is an offense one can get fired for, then using real violent force against a child should also be grounds for dismissal.
Since the Reds for Obama can't dig up any real skeletons on this woman they hate and fear so much, they make hay about a trivial incident in which Palin was acting within the law and within reason.

If anyone had an inferiority complex, it was the creators of such lame characters as Superman, the Hulk, Batman, etc. Children of immigrants living in grimy New York City at the bottom of the social pecking order and resentful every day for it. Each time I hear another insipid U.S. comic book hero is being brought to the big screen, I think to myself "You mean there is another one?" Yes, another one dragged from the rubbish bin to remind Americans that imagination has run out in Hollywood.

Sarge, such vitriolic hatred is based on one thing: fear. And I don't mean fear of someone (supposedly) unqualified making it to the White House as VP.
Don't let it bother you. Watching these Obama boosters suffer conniptions of "Palin Derangement Syndrome" is very amusing. The only thing more amusing would be watching them the day after a McCain/Palin victory - which would be priceless should it happen, just from an entertainment perspective. And I say this as someone who loathes John McCain.

The problem is, it will be difficult for many customers to qualify for 0% financing. The same was true for GM and Ford when they pulled this stunt a couple of years ago in a much looser credit environment.
It does get traffic moving through the showroom floor, however.
