I used to live in Japan and I am so glad I don't anymore. I usually enjoy reading this website but I am troubled at the lack of educated and factual based info that is posted here, particularly on this topic.
If all of your neighbours hated you and didn't acknowledge your right to live and exist, I am sure you would try to protect yourself. You can't communicate with nut jobs and fanatics.
