As a business owner would be ticked off. Especially when this is the time to make money. That being said. It is no more than conservatists trying to tell others who they can/cannot marry, study religion in school, what we can can't do to our bodies, what government you should have and what religion is best.

I think peoples are wanting to govern themselves. And for once be able to make use of their own resources as a oppose to places like Russia, UK and US coming in and stealing them. Africa, Asia and South America should kick out the exploiters and rebuild their nations for the benefit of its people.
I think Argentinia should stand their ground!
YuriOtani,
If Japan had any gonaads, they would have done the same thing with Russia.

Anything is better than the way travel agencies run their business. I get tired of going to an out-of-date agent. Instead of quickly pulling up info on their computer. They go and get a telephone book to find prices and info about a destination. It is like being in the stone ages.

I think the writers of this article is a little late. The high end shopping district has already began to shift to other places in Tokyo. In fact, it has moved to several places all competing to be the number# 1. This is nothing new here, please move on.

In Japan that is still a child!

That reminds me of when I was in high school. We use to sometimes do that at the Pizza Inn Buffet.
Kids will be kids! Punish them but not too harshly. Just scare them enough to learn the error of their ways.
I would think the girls would have been smart enough to at least get their shoes. It was probably why they couldn't peddle fast enough to get away.

How old is the mother? She might be a child herself. In Japan, that is between the ages of 1-38 years old.
She should be arrested. I believe she went home and start texting or watching TV. Hell I would worry if my kids were in the 5th grade and outside playing by themselves. I would still continue check on them until they come home.
Basic rule for my children: If you don't have a job and live in my house, then you will always be under my watchful eye.

gyouza,
Whether some one is an excellent driver or an OK driver is irrelevant. The car is suppose to do what it is suppose to do like decribed. If doesn't then it is part of the problem and not the solution when problems occur.
If it was really the fault of all these (so called bad drivers) then Toyota wouldn't be in this situation.

Compared to most Japanese actors that isn't saying much.
Only if Hollywood is interested in getting Japanese people to rent or buy their DVDs.

They just using him to get Japanese people interested in the show. Maria Sharapova teamed up with a Jpanese player for a Tennis Doubles match so she could be the spokesperson in Japan for a camera company. After she got the contract she never work with her ever again. I believe the same will ring true for these one time guests.

I meant: Toyota broke laws on international soil and will be trialed now by western courts.

Kazan,
You are basically supporting my claim. You examples took place simply because it wasn't a Japanese company but the victims were Japanese. There are limitations in Japan on how much a individual can sue for. If it was Japanese company and Japanese people were the victims then they wouldn't have such an uproar. Some bowing and losing face in public would have been the only real punishment handed out.
This situation is different because unlike being Japan where the court system more often then not supports the company. Even when they are convicted the penalty and compensation is still quite low.
Toyota broke laws on international soil and will be trialed not by western courts. Where there is no limitation on compensation for victims.
People can't sue the pants off of companies in Japan like in Western companies. That is why they are in for a World of Hurt.
Totally different situations like I pointed out.

I told folks this wouldn't go away. This isn't Japan where you can bow and everyone pretends to forget about it. The Western markets are completely different animals. People are going to want answers as well as large compensations. Toyota's arrogance is going to get them pimp slapped.

Toyota and other Japanese companies like to turn up their noses to foreigner complaints in Japan. Unfortunately, for them they are not playing on home turf. They will get slapped silly by the media, industry and possibly the government with that attitude. Bring on the mob!
