I agree with Bamboo! You have to foster curiosity. The problem is the students, teachers and parents don't understand that either. Not just some of the posters on this forum. I sometimes feel sorry for foreign instructors because even when you try to foster that curiosity the students don't understand whats happening and could perceive it as being a bad instructor. Especially, because you are not filling their heads full of facts or teaching like Japanese instructors. On the flip side when do try to fill them full facts they don't want that either because University is all about getting in and joining groups. The job will teach them everything they need to know. No need to make yourself a desirable candidate by acquiring skills before you graduate.

Apologizing is seeing as a sign of guilt in the eyes of the court. They are trying not to get sued too badly.

I do believe technology that takes away the need for certain mental functions do dumb people down.
Like any part of the human body, if you don't use it then you lose it!

I told you the bowing will start soon. They still not worried? Now that the spotlight is on Toyota, there will be a closer eye on them. I predict other problems will start surfacing for Toyota soon enough.

Send them to Gitmo! The leader was out to get paid. And use the stupid followers to fulfill her goals. Another example, of religion being an excuse for ignorance. This is why religion can be so dangerous. It makes good people throw out common sense for something that can't be tangibly proven true. There is a strong correlation between stubbornness and strong religious faith. The leader should get the toughest sentence.

I think McDonald's will win because they have more flexibility with their menus and more experience with mixing it up. They still don't offer the full menus that are offered in the States. BK has pretty much sold the same menu for a long time.

I wonder if they will still say that they are not worried about the situation.
Last week, an American news team tried to interview Aki Toyota, the head of the company, in Europe about the problem. He said nothing about the issue then drove in an Audi. I guess it is time for someone to do some deep bowing.

Is this even possible? According to Japan they MUST be killed to do research. Then they must store the meat and force their young people to eat the meat.....for research?

AIDS were brought there by the wealthy population who goes there to exploit the people. With most people poor and no access to medical facilities then disease spread rapidly. That is the reason Rush Limbaugh went there and got caught with illegal drugs. A lot of the folks you call conservative Good Ole Boys, like the Fox Executives who went with Rush, go there for cheap underage prostitution. Dark skin foreigners are good enough to come to their country but are perfect for them spend a week exploiting them. Those kids at this point are better off where the relief is than to be taken and possibly kidnapped again for slavery. I say arrested them and make them serve some jail time. I don't want to see these poor children turned into prostitutes in the Dominican Republic or become slaves to Rich Conservative Families in the US.

It is no surprise the political system is turning into a circus run by Corporations or as conservatives call it the "Free Market." Well, it was mostly the Conservative Republicans in the Supreme court who just voted for Corporations to use unlimited funds to advertise for or against candidates. Foreign entities including Corporations are just the next step. It has always taken place but now it so blatant it is just disgusting.

Puts some clothes on that kid! It is cold as Hell outside. It never ceases to amaze me when I see kids outside with hardly anything on while the parents look nice a toasty. Summer I can understand but winter?

North Korea sounds like a "Psycho girlfriend." One minute she wants to break-up them next minute she wants to be "lovey-dovey." I say kick the unstable h*% to the curve. It is better than getting your windshield smashed with a brick.
