You obviously haven't been to the US, Iraq, UK and Switzerland? You should ask that question after visiting those places and I bet the answer is different.

Don't forget waterboarding and other tactics. Here is a list for the ignorant and sarcastic. Out of the mouths of the Americans involved with it.

@Molenir
No my friend! That is only people who have something to go back to. Most of these folks were not middle to upper class living citizens with good jobs and happy families to get back to. Alot of these detainees can't even go back to their home country. Why do think some have been relocated to the Caribbean and other countries? Not only have you been detained and torture but even if you are released you can't go home. So the happiness they may have had is gone.
People who feel their nothing else to lose most people would want to fight those that totally ruined their lives.
You are living in a bubble Molenir

You can't just lock someone up for the rest of their lives without a trial, proof or reason. The same folks hawking at President Obama releasing detainees would be hawking if they were held in Japan for one month without charges. They would also be whinning if this was them or their loved one. Just like the female American student who was found guilty of murdering her roommate in Italy after first trying to blame it on a black man. Also the same US politician hawking at President Obama was complaining along with parents she shouldn't be trialed and we are going to bring her home. She had a fair trial and was found guilty.
Those complaining about Guantanamo detainees can't have it both ways. If you want your people not to be detained in other countries then you can't hold people indefinitely because you feel like it.
Bush and more so Cheney created this new wave of terrorists. President Obama is now having to clean up their mess.

I think the real morons are the cops who keep letting people go despite having enough evidence against him.

If you were innocent then tortured while being captive then who wouldn't want to fight when released?
I agree with this:

Another small example that "the Age of Man" is over. Long live the machines! Our new overlords.
I say cover it with spikes and you are good to go.
I would definitely send it to buy condoms for me.

Like I told the other posters on here. The iphone rules! There isn't anything out, as of yet, to equally compete with it. They top tier universities offering classes in programming for iphone apps.

Wow just like the other 5 meaningless Vice Chairmen. You check the other thread.

Not to mention his ranking is based on his performance in Japan. It like going to a bad 4 tier school and making straight A's and B's. Then say you are just as good as the top tiers school despite performing badly against them in every meeting.

SmithinJapan,
There are ways to get around the contract conflicts and use Skype. The same conflicts are put into place to keep foreign competitors from getting a comparative advantage over Japanese companies. Protectionism at its best!

I wonder which one is more desperate? The guy or Yoshimura.
They were friends seven years started dating 3 1/2 months ago. Now married. Was he one of those guys who liked her for a longtime and accidentally fell into the dreaded "FRIEND ZONE?" Sounds like a rebound marriage to me.
I have friend who was divorced 6 months ago. The first thing she said was she has to get married again. That has been on her mind ever since. A woman's value in Japan is determined by whether or not she is married. Very sad indeed.

You can buy them online. With those you can get a simple plan and used the SIM card from your cheap phone. This was with the 3G model. Now I'm not sure about the 3GS.

I just checked it out. When I checked out their Pro series the phones are non-compatible with most functions and services. You are basically buying an expensive basic keitai. It certainly doesn't do as many things as the iphone. Even their Blackberry's are quite simple. I don't see the purpose of buying a smartphone if you can't really use it.
The docomo PRO series SH-04A is the only one that will have a lot of cool features and services.
Check it out:

Sometimes folks are just angry. People in Japan don't have proper support systems and people act out. Plain and simple.
