This tradition won't last much longer because there will be no food for dolphins and the filthy ocean will kill them before the Japanese can harvest their poisonous carcasses. We are all to blame for that, not just the Japanese. starving whales are washing up on coastlines around the the world. The ocean has been raped, pillaged, and dumped on.but once the current ice age ends, the ocean will get it's revenge.

I did the same thing when I was a kid, got arrested, was given some punishment in the form of community work. Was the best thing that ever happened to me. The community work councilors sorted me out, and helped me to escape from a violent, alcohol soaked home as well as some bad people I was spending time with.
Was discharged without conviction and went on to university etc.
Hope these kids get the right help they need.

To prevent confusion, parents should do as we do at home (we have a bilingual kid).
Foreign spouse: speak your own language always, not your non native Japanese. You will embarrass your child.
native spouse: as above.

@Cleo,
My kid has mastered both and for the life of us parents, we cannot work out which one is stronger. I figure that he is exposed to JP more, but wants to be like his old man like a lot of sons do, thus parrots me (sometimes that backfires when he drops the f-bomb after listening to the old man curse the TV during live rugby) but at least he is native.....woops!
Also I agree with you about your take on home education and public schools. The kid will take the parents view every time. Some people should make a greater effort in shaping their kids minds and language ability rather than leaving it to public schools and native spouse.

Most of the comments here are made by western people of a generation where we were taught subconsciously that all men are rapists and pedophiles and all women are pure. But women are just as horny as men, and animals. The days of looking at a women as the bastian of purity are long dead. Still people out there claim that porn exploits women etc, as if the women are somehow coheresed into performing. Well I tell you these little harlots enjoyed every second of the money they took and never gave it a second thought and have no lingering harm done to them. One day they will marry an unassuming gaijin or salarybot and raise kids. No big deal.

I don't have an issue with souless little skanks selling their bodies to souless men. Let them blood suck each other down the abyss for that's what they chose.

And the person who wrote the note will feel nothing because once again I say it, "no empathy in this place outside pockets in society". Gotta have a good network set up to survive.
I wonder what lengths the parents went to to get to the bottom of it? You can't just sit back and take it if you get "teeth sucking" going on in such a situation.
In saying that I visited a school last month to see if I would enroll my kid there and when going past the principles office, I saw him ripping the hell out of two bullies who were crying their eyes out.
That made me feel good about the place.

Lol. Welcome to the oppressive new world order. US troops are chasing islamic boggey men in caves while mohummed atta and co are relaxing in Dubai. Sure you can build a Mosk next to it but never build a church next to it. That may well provoke the Christian God., if he/she/ it actually exists.
Whatever they do, it matters none. The whole 9/11 job stinks to rigel star system and back. It takes very little sense to be able to debunk it all. The worst thing is the rest of the world lives with it blindly while the US government gobbles up private enterprise with tax dollars and transforms itself into the communist country right before blind eyes of the fat, scared, depressed public who throw down fastfood and mass media manipulation like kobayashi at a hotdog eat off.

I think that we can find a reason for the western women in Japan getting their backs up if this type of attitude is the prevailing one. I have dated a welsh, a swede, a Chinese and Korean here in Japan but really dont want to date the locals.
The Korean has a shocking attitude problem, The Chinese girl was in a hurry to get married, The Swede went home (sob) and the Welsh girl was here for just 3 months. I found the Welsh girl to be the most charismatic and interesting of all of them. As for the locals, they are mad.

who dates who is none of my business and who I date is no one else's business but I think that Charisma Man himself does not exist in himself. He is created by Japanese girls that give him inane, and insincere compliments such as "sugoiiiii" as if he did a magic trick when doing something ordinary and mundane or "kawaiiiiiii" when he wears a pink shirt.
But they give this same array of overkill batterings to everything including slugs crawling along concrete. Ones self esteem must be pretty low to want to draw any confidence from such a source.
