You're welcome. It took my avatar about 10 minutes to show up in the comments.

Okay, I got the link button to work manually.
I clicked at it gave me a couple of < > but nothing to enter the url. If you know a little html you can type in the url, the href, the quotes, and the close brackets.
For the developer: I think you need a stronger indication that a word is linked or not. Not necessarily the color link-blue but maybe an underline. As it is now it looks like regular words and if you happen to mouse over it, it shows up as a link. Just my thoughts.
For example, the words "link button" in the first sentence links to the JT home page.

One thing that amazed me about the fried chicken I got at a convenience store (forget which one) was that it had chicken in it - not fried fat (McDs) or chicken parts - but chicken. And it was thoroughly cooked but not dry. Truly amazing. Plus McDs has about 600mg of salt in their chicken, if you're interested.

I like it. It looks quite professional plus I like that you have
on the home page (pictures, headlines, polls, special features.)
Seems to be working well with my Firefox 4.0.1 and I like the Facebook and Twitter options. Now, if you could only get rid of the ads.... (I make joke, I know you can't.)
The Link button doesn't seem to want to play on Firefox. I select text, click on the Link button and nothing happens.

Name two bands/musicians that have not been influenced by the Beatles - To paraphrase Madonna: "Regardless of genre, we have all been influenced by the Beatles."

We need a third answer:
If a friend was wondering whether or not to visit Japan I would not encourage them to come but not because of the nuclear crisis. (They'd just have to stay upwind of Fukushima.)

Thanks for that info about Japan Quality Review. I think Tagawa should take a look at it for his samurai-vision thing.

I find most Japanese are borderline nationalistic. With statements such as
"(famous person) is good at (activity) because he's Japanese."
Not because he or she worked hard or practiced with the best but because "he's Japanese." Or,
"I'm good at (activity) because I'm Japanese." This is sometimes coupled with "Oh, you can use chopsticks!"
What a Patriotism Class will include is the problem. If it is "We Japanese have never done anything bad to any other country" then there is a problem. If it is "We Japanese invented/created/refined/discovered/are experts in..." then it is less obnoxious.

It always amazes me how people can make such sweeping statements based on a photo taken at maybe 1/250th of a second. Like Kan "sleeping". And let's forget that in the not-so-distant past, looking at one's superior was considered rude.

Easy.
All the evacuees are in real houses. All the businesses have been re-established. All the missing have been accounted for.
With these criteria, perhaps the LDP, Komeito, and Ozawa's new political party will work hard to make Fukushima and Japan an economic power again rather than snipe at Kan.
Shocking idea, I know, but it would be in the LDPs best interest to accomplish it so they can get Kan out of office.
Posted in: Prime Minister Naoto Kan survived a no-confidence motion by promising to quit once he makes tangible progress in containing the nuclear crisis and rebuilding quake-stricken areas. What sort of criteria should be used to evaluate that?

As long as we're indulging in pure speculation here, may I add mine? At 41, the son is a mid-level bucho who lives at home because he's never found the right woman and his parents rely on part of his salary - their pensions being too small - and his schedule is such that he only sleeps at home and spends the occasional Sunday sleeping all day. For that he doesn't want to spend a lot of cash on a small apartment he doesn't have the time to keep clean.
Pure speculation, of course, because this less-than-detailed article doesn't give us much in the way of facts.

How does it boil the water quicker than using the gas range? If you want a cup of boiled water, get a pan, put in a cup of water, turn on the gas, put a lid on it. Wait. I suppose this kettle uses nuclear rods or something?
And it doesn't take 'forever' to boil water in the morning. It just seems like forever because you're in a hurry.
Am I irritated at something, or what? Picky, picky.

I have a question. You men who do or don't Hand Over My Monthly Salary - do you get paid in cash?
My employer deposits my salary in my bank account and my family uses it as we see fit.
I know some Japanese males who don't have a cash card so when they need money, they need to ask their wives but they seem always to have enough cash.

If Mr. T were to do the cooking, would he come up with even the automated bread from rice? Or would he just stop at a convenience store on the way home?
Not condoning people (male or female) who sit around the house doing nothing to improve their lot, but when I hear males complain about their lazy wives, I wonder how the males would manage.
