@Peter Payne
You are doing a good thing for the economy, if you what you say is true (and I believe you). Unfortunately, I am skeptical that many other companies will do the same.

About the delayed releases in Japan, It's not because of the difficulty in translating the subtitles/captions into Japanese. Blame the market execs of the movie studios--in this case Paramount. They make the decision to release movies late, because they think they will make more money doing so. There was and interview article on thios a few years ago... Some movies have a simultaneous release with the US/UK, though.

I've never seen a comment get so many negs as your -33 shows.
Anyway the despicable actions in Bataan even made some of the things the Germans did look tame in WWII.

TMarie,
I don't always agree with you but your comment above was right on. I get more negs move for supporting good comments of others, than I do for making my own dumb comments, though.

Zichi, Thanks for your informative comments (I have given you about 50 "thumbs up" this year).
"once their safety is confirmed..." Who is doing the confirming? I will say again, at least some of these reactors should never be started up again.

When either corporations or governments get too big they become more corrupt (they often go together to screw over the common man). I do like the governments of Denmark and Singapore, as they are not as corrupt as many, though.

I think the yen weakening is the biggest factor. I wonder if Korean visitors to Japan have increased greatly? Does anyone know?

If there were more common sense, people wouldn't "overpark" the bicycles right near the station. I think there should be reasonable amounts of parking for cyclists (for many of the reasons above) . The "no cycle parking" zone should be smaller one -- say up to about 100m from the station. After that people could park without blocking the pavement (sidewalk).

I agree with you, but it isn't a political issue. The powers that be want to see the US intervene, regardless of which "team" is in power.

Although some comments are interesting and show common sense (i.e. BertieWooster, Cos, Cleo, etc.) , a few comments are about as welcome as a cockroach on a wedding cake.
