If and this is a very big IF but if these japanese are pawns to let japan become more militaristic ?? Francois Hollande got a big bump in his ratings by the Paris thing. Don't believe it myself but just throwing it out there.. Any opinions???

was watching a wide show today and they are in their usual headless chicken mode about the latest" hot " news in this case these hostages.Compared to the BBC or even CNN it is such a clueless examination of the situation. All bluster. But ISIS have now got what they wanted..attention although whether the average japanese joe will have a clue what they are after I have my doubts.. I would say japanese TV is juvenile but that would be insulting children

If North korea made a movie like this it would be seen as propaganda. But as America has such a love of guns etc of course it gets an audience and is made out to be a classic.Dumbing down of the world!!And it seems with the Jesse Ventura thing and others like his Hurricane katrina story that the honorable Mr Kyle is not so honorable

Either I read or heard someone talking about this recently. It was stated that although japan has lots of very interesting places to see it doesnt have the appeal of returning to see or do these things a second time. What the japanese consider interesting is not so appealing to a foreigner. And secondly the whole idea of the infamous "omotenashi" has been comandeered by the japanese where it is now used to instil the japanese way onto the foreigner. The accomadating part has been bastardised.into subtle lecturing. They are very polite but you could go to the same convenience store everyday for a year but they will not recognize you and if you made small talk like saying lovely day isnt it? they get freaked out. I went to shikoku in september and the people were so friendly. On my way back to nagoya you could visibly see the change in the way people were once you got to Kobe/Osaka/Nagoya.Busy grumpy unfriendly looks. So if they want to improve numbers they should try and improve the repeat visitors numbers and that maybe the problem.Even the 2002 world cup was a damp squib compared to the atmosphere in Korea.

And Google said everyone will want to wear google glasses but had to scrap them because they are crap. Maybe some people want to actually use their brain and do things for themselves!! Although one look at the typical person on a japanese subway in the morning it will probably go down well here as they more time to have their face stuck in a screen rather than interact with people.

they saved my kid's life once so i will always be grateful. He had something called ITP and could have bled to death internally if he had fallen over hard. The discovered it straight away. Also stitched up another sons face when he was mauled by a dog!!Hardly a scar on him now!!

the usual maoaners apart from vagabond36.It mightnt be cordon blue but nowadays it is nutritional and cheap. The kids learn not to be picky. From trips to the english speaking parts of europe and also Australia it seems like a battle for parents to get their kids to eat any vegetables whereas kids brought up in Japan appreciate the food given to them and eat it.Lot ff bad things in japan but the school lunch aint one if them in my opinion...Plus you dont see so many fattys around. Most kids back home just eat take outs, convenience store sweets and chocolate, washed down with a nice healthy fizzy drink.Dont really see many balanced packed lunches in the anglo saxon world doo you??

when I worked for ECC in Nagoya the best place was on the stairs up to the roof.No one ever came up and the ECC banners made nice pillows and blankets but I did scare the hell out of one workman when he came up the stairs and I crawed out from under a banner.Ah those were the days

In my experience it was a lot less harmful years ago because of the potency.Years ago in Canada i had some and it was ridiculously strong compared to in the 80s 90s.Wouldnt fancy staring on that now.But the odd tke now and then never hurt.
