An opinion article by a leftist writer from a leftist newspaper. What a surprise.

But what it does say is how Israel allows dissenting views in its major publications. Could you imagine what would happen to a writer in Gaza who criticized the actions of Hamas?
So what Helter_Skelter is saying is that right-wing opinions are the only ones that count and that people living under oppression deserve the misery they get - in this case under Hamas and missles from Israel.

Obama needs to make Afghanistan and the Taliban one of his highest priorities.
Bush/Cheney must be relieved that someone else will have to deal with what they avoided - and a Liberal at that. Obama should send them peace envoys and insist they stay until they get results.

I wonder if Obama supporters did a similar parody titled "John the Magic Cracker" that it would be received in the "light hearted" manner that it was intended? Would Obama be P-E? RNC cannot seem to shed their whites-only image and only they wonder why.

Ahh, no. While not exactly a Sarah Palin, the lack of experience does matter. Cherry picking Clinton's former seat kind of flies in the face of the demands and expectations placed on Hillary during her run.

And after 8 years of Bush misgovernance only the naive are surprised. Corporate America prefer Bush's example of passing the buck (by slight of hand) than to actually standing up and be accountable. America has become an Alfred E. Newman State.

The best defence against communism is a vibrant democracy and healthy capitalism. Unfortunately, that hasn't been happening in America under Bush. His has done more to promote radicalism than anyone in at least a generation.

Everton2: Oh yeah, everyone else must own up to their actions, but Bush owns up to nothing? It was wrong to go to war based on lies. Of course, Bush will never have to face what he has done to millions of people. He kind of made the term "Leader of the Free World" a non sequitur since he has reduced the POTUS to figurehead.

Oh Yeah the Bush way with taxpayer monies is to throw bag fulls at any problem and hope that will fix it, no accountability, no benchmarks, no oversight. His irresponsible approach to using other people's money is no different than Wall Street - and conservatives still claim to know how to handle money. They make liberals seem absolutely frugal by comparison.

This is abridged from the NY Times
The Iraqi journalist shouted in Arabic — “This is a gift from the Iraqis; this is the farewell kiss, you dog” — and he threw his other shoe, shouting, “This is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq.”
Pretty much sums up Bush in Iraq.

Wow a lot of anti-fatties here. The story also gave equal time to Mr. Svelt and he seemed to like also. Perhaps he's being ignored because he threatens many of the svelt posers on this board.

Finding and successfully prosecuting guilt in a war is not so easily done. The dead don't talk and the living control the story.

All based on conjecture and liberal bias with no foundation in fact. The US military and its agents (i.e. Blackwater) are always innocent and above reproach. Like other militaries (i.e. Japan during the Pacific War) the US suffers from irrational accusations and slander.
The soldier who turned on his comrades has given in to the liberal pressure brought on by Obama's victory.

TooFarGone For all your self-praise about your ability to think the discussion has been the slaughter of Iraqi civilians and the lack of oversight of mercenaries, in this case those from Blackwater, which contributed to that slaughter. You want to digress and discuss Blackwater itself and the good that it did and may do, but do that somewhere else where that is the topic.

TooFarGone you are equating pirates with Iraqi civilians. Little wonder you still support Bush.
Anyway, the issue is still the slaughter of civilians by American mercenaries and your sarcasm and sideshows won't change that.

Try again?
Grow up. You cannot pin every screw up by Bush-Cheney on Clinton. Christ! you are just like Bush-Cheney, always avoiding and evading responsibility and blaming others. Be an adult and admit mistakes were made - it only hurts a little.
