I think you may have been listening to too much jp propaganda mr d-pump. Woodford had been with Olympus for 30 years, count them that's 30 years. I think he may have had a slight insight into how the company ran. What is better? He remains silent about the THEFT AND CORRUPTION IN THE BOARD and possibly be blamed later or to come out with the truth and show people that the corruption and theft had happened and were on going?

I bet you were one, along with many many narrow minded locals who said "oh he's a forigner, that's why he couldn't truely understand Japanese ways and had to be removed"

Well now those forigners clearly understand Japanese business practices. COVER UP, Lie, cheat and steal and when found out blame the scape goat... Or just say a "gomenosai" and bow deeply then all is forgiven.

Olympuss board swindled billions that their stock holders lost!! That is theft and do you think kikukawa will receive anything more than a suspended sentence and a stupidly small fine?

I'm so sick of hearing how bad Woodford was, he tried to save Olympus!! I think you'll find it was mitsui who supported the present president who it also turns out was involved and is having to "gomenosai" bow and resign.

But wait I thought that I could believe the government and tepco when they insisted there had been now meltdown!! Are they now willing to admit that there was a meltdown and that there is still not a true cold shutdown!? Entomb this time bomb in concrete and save people!!

I can't believe this because for the 20 years I've lived in Japan I've always been told that the Japanese are ALL honest and never lie! (is my sarcasm blatant enough?) The only thing that shocks me is that it took this long to realise.

I think the blackout may have something to do with incompetence and cover up culture. It's shocking but I'm not surprised.

A new super flu!? Oh no. We need hazmat suits to check passengers on planes entering Japan, we need EVERYONE to wear a little paper mask (at a price) and any suspected cases to stay home....

Wait a minute that was last year, and the year before. SARS (chicken flu) and pig flu!! This time is cat flu? Are they working through the Chinese zodiac ???

@mr sushi. It would be much better for scientific research if they knew why this whale was found dead in Tokyo bay. Unlike their perfectly healthy and free counterparts being slaughtered now in the Antarctic, which die from a harpoon, this one may have chosen to beach itself in the bay which begs a reason.

The truth is often spoken in jest.

Hi-tech is not meant for that type of operation. They should go low-tech. Least then they won't lose so much.

Also can I point out to some people that it was ISHIHARA who said the tsunami and earthquake were divine retribution. Maybe the pyscho SS guy repeated it or something else just as bad but it was ISHIHARA who said it to national media. Also it was widely reported that disaster relief earmarked funds were going to be used for security right here on JT.

Some people have such short or/and selective memories.

This makes perfect sense. The sinister reality is the government burning debris in every prefecture so that the overall cancer rates will be messed up enough that none of those poor children can claim compensation in the future. I agree they Fukushima should burn it all. Create the jobs to do it locally. Help the local economy grow. But those in power won't do this?

How about critisizing Japan where it needs to be critisized, the plight of children being murdered and beaten by those supposed to protect them... Their parents!! At least they didn't try to say that they (al al) treat their women well!! Imagine the field day they'd have if they found about love hotels.

Yep. I've got some sources. It's called previous experience of the government and tepco on numerous occasions making statements that were later proved to be at best wrong, at worst compleat life threatening lies.
