Is there some kind of test where they decide "you're a pervert so you can be a policeman" " you're a liar so you can be a prosecutor" "you're a theif so you can be a politician" "you're a closet sociopath so you can be a teacher" Wow. Amazing. One word, well actually two. Psychological evaluation!!

There is a wonderful series by rik mayall called "how to be a little sod" and I recommend this for all adults. Kids cry, get bored and generally do play up. My advice is put up with it and do the best you can. Has anyone who is complaining about kids on planes crying actually thought: 1) poor parents. 2) maybe the kid has pain from trapped air and the poor little mite can't pop it's ears. I have 3 little ones and know that often there is nothing that can be done to soothe a kid except let them work off their energy, and if a No kid person complains more fool them cause I'll be happy to vent my frustration. So instead of complain either help or use some ear plugs cause us parents are probably more annoyed than you non parents but we can't show it!!

Well said Cleo. Although I must say when I first read the headline I sucked in breath and thought "slow news day".

Jeez. All nationalist posters should be screaming about this issue and the lack of action!! I'm sorry to peta and others but a child is a million billion billion times more important than a fish or if the us makes too much noise in Okinawa!! There is a sickness that must be addressed!!

This will not happen in my lifetime. My little ones will be able to vote and have dual citizenship (british can not renounce) so I'm not too worried. As someone said above I can take joy in blaming others for the joke of a government beit LDP or DPJ. I've been here a long long time since I was just a young un, I'm told I'm more Japanese than the Japanese but because of my facial features I'm always gaijin and that's where I'm happy. Debito takes things too far although I agree with his sentiments for the most part. I travel a lot and spend alot of time in rural japan ( which is one of the most beautiful countries on earth), I'm heavily tattooed too but have only met friendliness and interest from locals, although my Tokyo accent is often made fun off. I have only once had someone try to refuse me entry, but when I told them in japanese, that i was Japanese, from Hokkaido but had a bad cold so was pale they just laughed. We became great friends and I go back every year now. My meaning is that too many forigners never learn Japanese, they just cause a scene. Learn Japanese and your life will enrich a thousandfold on these amazing shores. You'll still meet the xeno and racists, but you can answer them and maybe change their views. Of course there are many things that annoy me but I keep those to myself or gaijin circles to kick and scream about. In short I don't need the vote cause I'm happy where I am. Korean Japanese is another issue though and I'm not willing to comment on it.

My first thought is the police are confounded cause the guy is telling the truth and they can't figure how to fabricate a confession...
But because a person died I hope they actually get to bottom of this and find the truth. RIP postie.

Japanese catching something?! Shock and disbelief. I bet the peacock really walked into a local Jovan to surrender itself.

Spend millions on the new security software and bump up the price of games to cover this. Then some kid will crack it within a month... Its a no win situation...

@johnnydesu. I don't mind them speaking but blaring is another thing!! People have the right not to listen too. Blaring is selfish, ignorance at it's best. Japans political regime (all warps) seem to know no one will listen so they turn up the volume. So I'm with others, they are too loud and should be shut up

In my experience it is probable that the cops just walked/drove upto the guy and began aggressivly questioning. I've had this done to me and they did not show ID until I told them I thought they were thieves and I was leaving.

No freedom of press in japan and us only reports us interests. Go to the BBC for aN only semi-biased news source.

Maybe japan should allow it's food culture to evolve a little.
