I see two mistakes on the part of the officer. One, he never wrote down the license plate number (and now has to rely on such a vague description of the car as it being "silver"). Two, he shouldn't have been standing in front of the car when ordering the men out of the car.

I had never heard of the expression "in stir" before, but sure enough it's in the dictionary. Probably commonly used in the 1800s.

I wonder what happens if an inmate has a wet dream? It's not directly under their control.

If someone wants to top themself, then why not an alcohol overdose? A liter of vodka should do it for a regular non-drinker. First coma and then death, nice and easy (and a lot cheaper for everyone).

This is not a nice job to have. There are reports of rescue workers having to amputate limbs to free trapped people. I hope these valiant people aren't too distraught over what they will see.
