If they get Susan this year, they need to get Paul Potts for next year.

At least he didn't say something false like "I love Japan" like a lot of Hollywood actors do while only coming to Japan on business trips and never private holidays.

Anyone know how well her CDs are selling? Cause I reckon with all this publicity people will be buying up her CDs as much as Michael Jackson's.

I find the closer you get to the autumn leaves the worse they look. It's more impressive taking shots of vibrant red trees from a distance.

4.6 mil for him doesn't sound like a lot of money. He'll probably wait and see what kind of prosecution he'll face and if it's not a slap on the wrist he'll probably escape back home.

I think I know why old women barge onto trains. It's because otherwise they have a good chance of not being able to sit down. Priority seats get filled by young people who pretend to sleep (out of sight, out of mind when it comes to old people standing near them).

Forgetting history is almost inevitable, given the way history is taught in most schools.

This is good material for a photoshop - just change the message on her sign to read something like "free bl...s"

Scratch this temple out of your guidebooks people, it'll take a while to rebuild.

This kid just earned the wrath of most people in Nagoya, when he grows up either he'll have to move or he'll be an outcast in Nagoya, homeless probably.

These hostesses drink almost everyday which is terrible for their health. High pay but also high risk.

"Price: 417,9000 yen." Do you mean 417,900 yen? If so that's quite an expensive toy.

Japan Post workers are under huge pressure to sell these cards, it's a big money-making time of year and the workers have difficult quotas to meet. I feel sorry for them. Each year more and more people send emails instead of cards.

This guy is confusing. Even his official blog has photos of him as a fruit and a K-1 fighter: http://ameblo.jp/jienotsu/ You'd think they're two different people.

1500 people, 20 courtroom seats - that's a 1.33% chance of getting a seat for each person, basically no chance.

Interesting that people will waste their time and money for a 1% chance.

I bought a new mouse recently. The stores put all the 5000-yen mice prominently at eye-level, and tuck the cheaper ones near the bottom. Why do I need to pay so much for a friggin mouse? I walked away satisfied with one under 1000yen.

The timing of this test does seem suspicious. If I were a resident of Taiji who ate dolphins I'm not sure I could trust the staff performing the tests to give accurate results (surely they'd like to tell everyone they don't suffer from mercury poisoning)

No, she was born in the year of the boar, not the rabbit, so they should change the title to "Lonely Boar" or "Lonely Bore"...
